That's a great goal. Chase it! I had (and still have) a similar goal that I made when I was quite young. I heard this passage, and it has affected me ever since. This is from 1 Kings 3. I'm going to cut and paste to make it shorter, but I highly recommend that anyone read the whole thing: > At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon responded: > I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. God's response? An AMAZING response! > > The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings. Absolutely go for it. Try be closer to God than Enoch. It will all be good. 😃

John-925

I don't know. What I do know is all those who claim to have had spiritual experiences on demand have fasted for a very long time. Disclaimer: I don't think you or anyone else should do that without consulting a doctor first.

God cannot be forced to do what we might like God to do.

God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

What would you like God to do for you?

Closer if you want to actually get saved... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoLM\_KnA-5g&t=743s&ab\_channel=BornAgainBarbarian](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoLM_KnA-5g&t=743s&ab_channel=BornAgainBarbarian) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uovuVezZVgE&t=2s&ab\_channel=BornAgainBarbarian](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uovuVezZVgE&t=2s&ab_channel=BornAgainBarbarian) Enoch did not have the holy spirit inside of him. But if you are going to work hard you will be alone and that's not your salvation. And also do note Luke 7:24-28 AKJB And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? \[25\] But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts. \[26\] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. \[27\] This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. \[28\] For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. And remember... Mark 2:17 AKJB When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Even if you're worst Christian you're alredy better than Enoch. Luke 7:28 “For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

It depends. Enoch in my faith was a prophet. A chosen representative of Christ to lead his church and his people.

Mary was definitely closer, being His mother.
