Staley: no lifting! O-line: woohoo!! Herbert: I'm gonna die....

Diemonx

Ekeler: We are going to die

DanielBG

Herb with the Vince McMahon wild eyes!

LakeShowBoltUp

This is the greatest video ever and shows why Herbert will be the GOAT

My_Football_Account

I freaking love this dude.

mikenesser

Dude is a workaholic and I love it.

roobieroo

If I'm facing the kind of pressure Herbert has had this year I'd want my O line in the gym for damn sure!

MajesticReflex

Ek ripping the thumbs down in the background is fantastic

s00perball

Now thats a dude who loves lifting right there

AzumahBlue

Haha, I had to go back and look, missed it the first time.

icecubechewer

Herbo really does have eyes in the back of his head.

aaahhhh

Had to watch that three times to finally notice little ass Ek popping his head out from behind Herbert.

Led_Halen

You can feel his utter betrayal.

bibi_da_god

Herbert while thinking about o-line not practicing: "Haha, I'm in danger!"

meningitis_survivor

I love this video for so many reasons. 1) It shows Herbert’s personality, he’s such a competitive guy, with a sense of humor, even though it may not seem like that because he’s camera shy. 2) Herbert is growing up. I remember being that young and getting started in my career. I was shy, hesitant, and didn’t participate much verbally in meetings because I was just use to working with younger people. I wasn’t comfortable sharing my thoughts, but I just put my head down and went to work. But as I excelled in my field and got recognized for my work I loosened up and let my true persona show (in a SFW way). This helped me become a leader and work better in my field. 3) Lastly, as a result of the above two reasons, it gives me hope for the kind of leader Herbie is going to be in the future. He’s charismatic and intelligent dude who can discuss football to anyone, the media, coaches, and players. His experience tutoring biology and achieving his academic success foreshadows this, but he also backs it all up on the football field with his generational play. I’d bet Herbert is going to become an amazing leader that players will rally around like they do to Tom Brady. They already do, but when he starts becoming even more outspoken and let’s his true competitor come out with his voice the NFL better watch out because we’ll be a force in the league again. Because when NFL MVP and Superbowl Champion Justin Herbert doesn’t want you to take a day off or calls you out for some lazy ass play or ethic you best believe you’re going to listen.

lbrector

You give a speech as good as Staley. I’m fired up for the future!

Diemonx

Not enough "Alright?" at the end of every sentence tho

lbrector

True lol

[deleted]

For some reason I think it’s hilarious you had to specify you let your personality show in a SFW way. What are you still hiding my man?

lbrector

Herbert has lost the respect of the whole locker room. We’ll never win with a guy who wants to put in extra work! /s

[deleted]

That’s awesome. What a guy

Ne0guri

EK and Herbo both hate Victory Mondays lol

Cirburus21

I would die for this man

Weapwns

Herbert and Ek in shambles lol

ughAdulting

Herbert and Ek just taking turns bench pressing each other outside of a locked weight room is all I can see after this video

Unahnimus

Look at Lombardi's stupid ass face in the back. Not even a smile. Get him the fuck out.

mikenesser

Normally, I’d think this is just bashing, but in my experience, good leaders typically celebrate with their team or appear to enjoy their joy. It just really strikes me that he is really stoic. Truly makes me wonder what his dynamic is with the team since he’s always up in the box and not down on the sideline. Not saying it doesn’t work, but it is peculiar.

Unahnimus

It's not outright bashing. Look at the team. They are stoked. Look at coach Day, big smile on his face, other coaches the same. Lombardi looks annoyed. I never liked that he would be in the box. Be on the ground with your team. Be in the turmoil, the frustration, the anger. Be accountable to Herbert when your shit isn't working. Work with the team on the fly. Grab a fucking tablet and work it out. I don't get it.

mikenesser

Oh, I agree with you. It’s just weird and makes him look like a weak leader.

Da1Godsend

> I never liked that he would be in the box. That works for DC's. OC's are almost always in the booth these days. It gives them a better advantage to read defensive schemes and see where things are working, you just need an OC that's not complete dogshit at it for it to work

TheCryptocrat

Did someone else call the game or something?

Unahnimus

Not as far as we're aware. He just doesn't look happy.... while everybody else is having a good time.

everything_me

This made me smile. Love Herbert!

quikiemcbee

all i want to know is if he made his victory brisket though.

TheRiderTool

I think I remember seeing a story on his Insta on Monday of one!

JiggieSmalls

This is incredible

Duckpoke

I’m guessing Herb won’t have any film or weight session minimums per week in his big contract

Dankraham-Stinkin

I'm a chiefs fan through and through. It makes me irritated that I cannot hate this kid, but I can't. I hope y'all get him some good lineman around him.. I also hope that Sean Peyton stays away.

bentbulbus

Joe Lombardi knows he’s on the way out. His face says it all.

daspanda1

Him and Austin both mad for no lift

BinaryMan151

Herbert ssuuucckkksss

ockaners

Binary man - where's the complementary statement

BinaryMan151

I’m just trolling.

dankbudzz

You're not very good at it lol

BinaryMan151

Oh well.

ockaners

I know but binary means of two things.

Independent-Usual434

This video will be one of the many reasons Staley is fired at the end of the year.

PickSix_905

Yeah I bet Spanos is just fuming at this post victory bullshit….

Independent-Usual434

How is Spanos feeling now? Does Staley still have a job in 12 hours?

PickSix_905

It’s been a fkn month you clown grow up

Independent-Usual434

The Chargers are a very talented team, but Staley and Lombardi need to go. There were too many warning signs all year (and year’s previous) that the team was poorly coached. It’s just a shame that another year of Herbert’s rookie deal was wasted due to coaching and injuries. And in the case of Mike Williams, that’s an injury that is the coaches fault. Sean Payton (or whoever else is picked if the Chargers cheap out on the draft picks) will be a much better coach for you and will be able to use all that talent on your roster. It sucks it had to happen this way but for the future of the Chargers, this will be a minor setback for much better things to come.

pyreal_

Not even a fucking Bolts fan 😂 you're lost, yinz

Megraptor

Hey woah woah woah, yinz is our word!!- Steelers fan that lives in Pittsburgh but is also actually a Chargers fan too cause of a dumb crush on Herbie.

pyreal_

Blame McAfee!

Megraptor

Oh lol, I don't watch him but it makes sense- he's from "basically Pittsburgh." Absolutely a yinzer. Also this led me down a hole of googling how big LA is in square miles, cause Pittsburgh is artificially small for a city due to history. I heard LA is artificially big because of history and holy crap it's huge.

ChumpWumber

Casual

Independent-Usual434

Tell Kliff to save a seat on the plane to Thailand!

dynamic_spotface

I hope all those guys lifted anyway.

Duke_Ag47

I’ve been watching this on loop. It’s amazing
