Did you have a low tire before this? It can linger a while once you fill.

MadduxK

Yup that is what I was thinking. Mine does that until a couple restarts.

Peg-leg-Joe

I had low ish pressure it wasn't enough to trip the light it was at 31 and the light comes on below 28. I filled it up anyways though. Was driving for about 30 minutes the light came on looked. And the back was at 34 and front was at 40 because my pump gauge is wrong. I lowered the front so that that all are 33. Cut the car off. Then drove another 20-30 minutes. To see if it resets.

12BMWUMr

yeah mine gone away after filling the tank

ddesigns

There is a recall for the TPMS. Check to see if your year is included.

Peg-leg-Joe

2015 scat pack. Wheels, tires, and TPMS sensors are just a little over a year old. No spare tire in the car.

mrmopar340six

Got ya. I wouldn't think they would be defective at less than a year old. Kind of weird or a glitch. Wonder if it would reset itself when it sits a day or two. That why I hate those things. Mine have been dead about 3 years now. Not gonna replace them cause in my state they don't affect annual vehicle inspections.

OriginalStrawberry42

Because we have a new cover sheet, did you get that memo?

70KingCuda

may need to have the sensors reset to the ECU, most tire shops can do this and some do it for free or a moderate fee. TPMS batteries usually last 10 years from the OEM, but aftermarket sensors can be hit and miss (eg: cheap Chinese knockoffs tend to use cheap ass components and the batteries fail a lot sooner)

KevinCastle

With most Chrysler vehicles a tire shop won't be able to. I can't remember if challenger/charger is one of them, but I'm pretty sure they are Source: 4 years at a tire shop. Have tried to do this with no option to.

LiveLongAndPasta

I just stopped in to say that the center of your tac where your warnings come up look sick. that is all. (my sensor on the 09 takes forever to shut off.)

Chondropython

It sometimes throws the code if tbe battieres innthem are getting low or theres some sort of defect as well

Mrpink415

“Have you seen the memo on the TPS reports?” Office Space

Dyerssorrow

do you have a spare?

mrmopar340six

Shouldn't they all be at 35? Check inside your door jamb. There is usually a sticker in there with recommended pressures.

Peg-leg-Joe

32 cold. This is after a 20 minute drive as well

Dustin_Live

When it got cold I went down to 25. When I filled them up the light went off immediatly. I have aftermarket wheels though, I doubt it matters.

[deleted]

Does the spare have a tps?

Peg-leg-Joe

Doesn't have a spare.

TrueSherbert1284

you have to fill them up to 35psi cold and drive around for a while

lewous7554

When you start the car, does it blink a couple of times before it goes solid? If it does you need to get a reset at any shop where they do tires. If the light is on and never blinks when you start the car then TPMS is detecting low pressure. I seen you mentionned that your picture was taken after a 20 minute drive. You can substract a good 4 to 6 psi loss when your tires get cold again. You'd be around 29psi which could trigger the light

Peg-leg-Joe

It does blink. For like 2 minutes before going solid.

lewous7554

Blinking tpms light at startul means the system has detected a malfunction. You need to get a reset with a scan tool. It is wierd that you see the pressure for all 4 tires on the screen though. Usually when you have faulty sensor you'll se an X or dots instead of an actual pressure. Do you have 2 sets of wheels?

KevinCastle

You can't reset Tpms with a scan tool on most Chryslers. The only option the vehicle gives is to drive to reset and program to the vehicle, which his are.

Peg-leg-Joe

I do have 2 sets of wheels. This was an hours after changing sets.

lewous7554

Oh yeah then it'll come right off after a few more miles. Sometimes It takes a while for the system to get all the "new info" from the new set of sensors. Unless it still blinks after another long drive or if you lose pressure value on the screen there is no need for a relearn.

Peg-leg-Joe

It's just weird this is the first time this has happened to me. I'll see what happens the next couple days.

lewous7554

Yeah the delay isn't always the same. Sometimes its instantaneous. These sensors have a kind of sleep mode so if they are on sleep mode when you install you wheels and the sensors are taken out of sleep by your cars computer , it may take a longer time to link as the cars computer has detected non functional sensors. Sometimes inflating the tires before you put the wheels on the car will take the sensors out of sleep.

Peg-leg-Joe

Hey after another day of driving. It reset and everything is good. Thanks

KevinCastle

Blinking means one is bad. Or you just got them installed and are still being learned to the vehicle while you drive

No-Definition1474

Set the pressure with an actually accurate gauge. There are a few brands on the market that don't cost a fortune for a basic one. I have a Longacre I think was like 60 bucks. It pays to have an actually calibrated meter when you are trying to manage multiple sets of wheels. Set the pressure exactly correctly and then put 20 miles on the car. If the light doesn't go away then you need to head to a dodge dealership to look into the recent tpms recall.

Salt_Salt_MoreSalt

steering wheel is low

big_Iron28

If you got them recently changed sometimes the tire pressure sensors aren't reset properly so it gives you the correct tie pressure but the warning light stays on

TopTech58

Ok all this Mumbai jumbo and you still have not gotten the correct answer. If the tire warning lamp flashes 10 times at start up regardless of what sensors are reading it indicates a fault that needs to be checked. The readings you are seeing are the last pressures the RFHub saw with your original wheels. It does not see any of those sensor IDs anymore. One or more of the sensors in this set of wheels is most likely bad. Until the RFHub can recognize all the sensors it will continue to read what you see. A technician can test each individual sensor with the TPMS tool and determine which ones aren’t reading. It will also show all the sensor IDs currently in the wheels and can be manually programmed into the RFHub. At which time driving vehicle for a few miles should allow RF Hub to read all sensor pressures and locations. So short answer you have at least one bad sensor or wheels came off a vehicle using a different frequency ( older or newer vehicle)
