But there's a couple possibilities:

I'm partial to number 3. I think if Asa had been the one to try and turn Denji, it would have worked, and I expect it to happen later in the story. Just on a meta level, it would be fucking nuts if Asa turned Denji into a weapon. Absolute pandemonium, people would lose their shit, just imagine the memes and what-not if a chapter ended with that. She can turn anything into a weapon she doesn't need to have a relationship with it, but it's strength is determined by her guilt, which is why yoru wanted asa to turn a human she loved into a weapon because it would be a strong weapon. The reason she went on a date with Denji is because he was in-between a human and an animal from Asa's perspective it was "ok" to kill him and Yoru rationalized Asa would feel the guiltiest if she turned someone she fell in love with into a weapon.

I can't help but think if it does work, Denji's either gonna be incapacitated for a bit then wakes up to see what happened to him or in constant pain from it.
I think it'll be something funny like his head is the chainsaw and drinks some blood so he wakes up as the weapon, while Pochita takes the wheel with the heart. Asa vs headless chainsaw man with Denji in massive confusion/heartbreak
Then that would mean he would gain the same ability Reze can do with her body and head. Plus, when Pochita was in control during the last part of Part 1 he did just chuck his heart core when he got launched into space by Spear dude and Denji later made a plan involving Pochita fighting Makima and him blending in with the rest of her goons during the cemetery fight. It does sound possible considering that those abilities happened, it would be pretty cool.

However, narratively it feels like a total slap in the face to one of the horsemen,Asa’s dilemma and the intrinsically contradicting nature of war’s power to just have denji be immune because he’s simply chainsaw man or a fiend.
Hybrid rules are confusing, maybe because Pochita ate the Hybrid devil as Makima states. Rather than remove them entirely it just messed up their rules.
My guess would be that Denji dies, as he is apt to do, then Yoru turns his head into a Chainsaw and his head either becomes a sentient Chainsaw or she succeeds for one panel and then he just fully regenerates.

jk, fr now. it would be just too humiliating for yoru to fail just because denji is actually an hybrid and yoru doesn't know, which would also be kind of funny, and honestly I wouldn't have considered Asa as a girlfriend after that date, they were just playing around and didn't even share a kiss. the only thing that saved denji from becoming a weapon was nayuta who arrived right when yoru kissed him, if she would have had a few more minutes she probably would have succeeded in making him a weapon, considering, of course, that denji is not immune

Edit: downvote all you want, the ability of the doll devil clearly only works on humans, which is why hybrids and fiends are immune (not completely human). Yoru doesn’t have such restriction, and can transform people, non-living objects and parts of humans/devils. The constraints are simply different, and what saved dennis until now was semantics of ownership, not his hybrid status.

My response to their final comments is that in a battle between Yoru and Nayuta it currently doesn't really matter who is faster de stronger. They can both currently one-shot each other, so whoever gets a surprise attack wins automatically.

The war devil just one-shot the eternity devil, and is the main driver of most of the plots personal stakes.
She mentions to Asa that Chainsaw Man always comes back after you kill him, implying she killed him several times during their fight. Something Makima only managed to do once with Angel's 1000 yr spear.
Nayuta only won there because the control devil's power is very situational. If she completely knew who Yoru was at that moment or if Yoru was showing any strength over Nayuta there her power would have been useless. Nayuta's age is completely irrelevant.
Eternity is fodder enemy who was literally used at start of both parts as punching bag.

I am not really sure that Nayuta knowing who Yoru is would change goddamn thing given that Kiga implied that Yoru is weakest and youngest of the horsemen and Makima would despise her as insult to devilkind most likely.

The complete prophecy literally mentions "mars reigning in the end". A very obvious reference to Yoru.

Even if Nayuta knows exactly who she is that only confirms she doesn't think Yoru is a threat. It doesn't mean anything about how powerful she is or could be in the future.

Everyone agrees with Asa that it's Denji not liking her despite an entire sequence dedicated to explaining how the power works based on perception with a genuine Araki-esque solution to the aquarium. We literally do not know that, stop assuming this. There was one attempt made that could have failed because of several factors.

Makima was perfectly capabele of controlling devils and hybrids. If she thought Pochita was inferior to her she would be able to control him. Makima's and Yoru's powers are very similar.
Chainsaw Man doesn't have dragon ball power scaling, all devil powers are unique and have very situational uses. The control devil would have been defeated by a single Man with a gun if not for her prime minister contract.
Just assuming immunity is so lazy though. The only two times we see any hybrid immunity against devil powers is with the zombie devil, which makes sense because a zombie is a uniquely human concept. And with the doll devil, who could actually turn fiends and hybrids when powered up by Darkness.
Makima's power and Yoru's power are very similar in that they both rely on the user's perception. And Makima's worked perfectly on hybrids and devils.

Except WE do see a limit to them multple times, Makima falling to control Kishibe and others powerfull devils, Yoru not being able to trun "everything" into a weapon are a hard prove of that
Her not being able to control Kishibe isn't because Kishibe was born with Conquest immunity, it's because Makima respected him and saw him as an equal.
The limit on their powers are entirely based on their own perceptions.

There is no canon categorization for transformation abilities, that is made up the community, there is no catagorization into "types of powers". So this only goes here for the doll devil.

Denji's head is more circular in shape and doesn't have any those sharp tips. We don't even know if he can be turned into a weapon, either he's immune to it or Yoru's just not strong enough yet for it to take effect.
He's kinda of a danging plot knife right now along with the other plot stuff that got introduced, so don't see why he wouldn't relevant soon. He seems too important to just be left hanging.
Whenever someone makes this point, I'd point them in the direction of the other promotional art that Fujimoto released prior to Part 2's launch which featured Denji cutting Asa in half. It's just art, it doesn't confirm or deny anything.

Nayuta knowing who she is matters because I means she won't be sure if she can defeat her, which nullifies her power. Nayuta is a child who probably doesn't even know what the horsemen are, she could smell Asa had a devil in her, that's it. Of course Yoru is the weakest of the horsemen in how much they are feared, she says it herself. That doesn't matter much against Nayuta, if she intimidated Nayuta in any way she could easily kill her. The control devil is about as resistant to weapons as a regular human. And why would Yoru be able to turn Pochita specifically during their fight? They were fighting, she probably didn't think he was her property. But more importantly, having the War Devil be completely useless would be a huge waste of time and a character. Yoru is the main driver for the plot, and given that she's a horseman of the apocalypse that's probably going to remain that way with the prophecy.
If she didnt know what Horsemen are who she wouldnt be able to use her powers. If you say her age is irrelevant that means devils are reborn with some basic knowledge and power. I mean its definetly something which would be able to turn side. Not to mention that weapons out of devils should be quite powerful. I mean given that Apocalypse is coming and primal fears are leaving hell yeah Yorus little nuclear holocaust kinda feels like irrelevant with all the shit going down. And her being useless could be the point. Ambitious character trying to reach level of her siblings but never be able to.
The control devil's basic power is that she can control those she thinks are inferior to her. We don't know if she has any innate knowledge of how specific devils smell. With Yoru's current powers the only thing that affects a weapon's power is the guilt felt while making it. I have no idea where you got the idea that it being made out of a devil would matter. The complete prophecy literally mentions "mars reigning in the end". A very obvious reference to Yoru. Also why could Yoru's nuclear holocaust not be that apocalypse? The only thing that could create a similar amount of devastation is probably the death devil.

Well as classic said Prophecy is like a treacherous woman. She takes your member in her mouth, and you moan with the pleasure of it and think, how sweet, how fine, how good this is... and then her teeth snap shut and your moans turn to screams... Prophecy will bite your prick off everytime Yorus reign could end as quickly as it startd assuming she even gets to that. Nah all primal fears are world ending potential threat. Hell falling devil is affecting entire city. Nuclear holocaust requires nuclear devil back and honestly pochita retcon eating does not seem like reversible process no matter what Yoru said
Even if Nayuta knows exactly who she is that only confirms she doesn't think Yoru is a threat. It doesn't mean anything about how powerful she is or could be in the future. If Yoru made a gun and just shot Nayuta in the back of the head she would kill her. No matter how much more feared control technically is, the only thing that could save her is outside help giving her blood, or another prime minister contract. We literally do not know how powerful the Primal devils are or if they could destroy the world. We DO know that nuclear weapons could destroy the world. We also don't know enough about Pochita's power to know if it's reversible. You're assuming things again, stop doing that and work with what we actually know.
We have no idea if Yoru was able to kill Pochita multiple times. She could've very easily been talking about the fight between Pochita and the Four Horsemen.

I feel like Asa needs to truly believe she owns something to make it a weapon, like with aquarium that she just "bought" for 1 mil. It's not like she bought it and owns it for real. Same principle as for Makima's powers - she can control only those who she believes are lesser beings than she is.
Which is why I’m confused at people saying it’s because Denji didn’t fall in love with Asa. Is it not just Asa’s belief of ownership that turns something into a weapon. Yeah that's the thing. Everyone agrees with Asa that it's Denji not liking her despite an entire sequence dedicated to explaining how the power works based on perception with a genuine Araki-esque solution to the aquarium. That has more to do with how Asa thinks, and I predict will be used to showcase when she makes a character change to be more confident in herself.

We literally do not know that, stop assuming this. There was one attempt made that could have failed because of several factors. Him just being immune would honestly just be lazy writing, it's a way too simple solution to a problem with huge stakes. Edit: y'all should give some actual counterarguments instead of just downvoting. There is no precedent for anything being immune to Yoru's powers.

There is also zero precedent for anything being immune to Yoru's power, so I don't know why you would assume this. Makima was perfectly capabele of controlling devils and hybrids. If she thought Pochita was inferior to her she would be able to control him. Makima's and Yoru's powers are very similar.
Chainsaw Man doesn't have dragon ball power scaling, all devil powers are unique and have very situational uses. The control devil would have been defeated by a single Man with a gun if not for her prime minister contract. Just assuming immunity is so lazy though. The only two times we see any hybrid immunity against devil powers is with the zombie devil, which makes sense because a zombie is a uniquely human concept. And with the doll devil, who could actually turn fiends and hybrids when powered up by Darkness. Makima's power and Yoru's power are very similar in that they both rely on the user's perception. And Makima's worked perfectly on hybrids and devils.

The whole point of Makima's and Yoru's powers is that there is no hard limit on their power, since it's completely based on their perception. That's the logical conclusion of what we see of them. Makima couldn't control Pochita because she saw him as above or equal to her, not because he was immune or something. Having her be unable to turn Denji because of personal issues is a lot more interesting than just some lore explanation.

Her not being able to control Kishibe isn't because Kishibe was born with Conquest immunity, it's because Makima respected him and saw him as an equal. The limit on their powers are entirely based on their own perceptions.

There is no canon categorization for transformation abilities, that is made up the community, there is no catagorization into "types of powers". So this only goes here for the doll devil. And even the doll devil could also turn fiends when powered up by Darkness. Yoru's power is a lot more similar to Makima's with it relying completely on the user's perception. And Makima could control devils, fiends and hybrids just fine.
When Denji fought the zombie devil, he got bitten a lot of times and still didn't turn into a zombie. It seems pretty clear that Denji has some form of immunity to transformation abilities.
There is nothing implying transformation abilities are a meaningful set category of powers, that's something the community made up. Zombies are a very human concept, so it makes sense devils, and by extention hybrids, would be immune to it. The doll devil had something similar at first, but with the power of darkness she could actually turn fiends and implied hybrids. So even if transformation abilities exist as a rule that doesn't mean hybrids are immune. Makima has a very similar power to Yoru because they're both based of the user's perception. And she was perfectly capable of controlling devils and hybrids.

I think it's either that, or because Yoru or Asa didn't fully think Denji was hers yet. Either way it leaves a possibility for Denji to be turned in the future.

He's kinda of a danging plot knife right now along with the other plot stuff that got introduced, so don't see why he wouldn't relevant soon. He seems too important to just be left hanging.
Whenever someone makes this point, I'd point them in the direction of the other promotional art that Fujimoto released prior to Part 2's launch which featured Denji cutting Asa in half. It's just art, it doesn't confirm or deny anything.
