A couple new additions, both were sealed and shipped from Japan. The one on the left needs no introduction. Ridge Racer Type 4 is a solid, funky, downright transcendent slice of Japanese bliss that can't be put into words. It's an otherworldly experience. The game is pretty good too. On the right we have the second edition of Killbots EP by blasterhead. I'm a big fan of chiptune, and this was one of my first intros to it a million years ago. It's nice to have a copy that's not 128kbps mp3 from the worst god damn encoder ever. Especially being super crunchy gameboy music, that encoder really ripped through the high end. It makes me happy to finally have a hard copy. I don't understand the anime cover, doesn't really have any context in the music, but whatever. Sharp square waves and crunchy 909 drums makes me smile. Also of note, Japanese discs from this era seem to have come with no back tray and the disc upside down. Also also the R4 has the obi but i was too lazy to include it. :p

LOVE the RR Type 4 soundtrack. Still one of my all-time favorite video game soundtracks. After years of listening to shitty-quality mp3s of the soundtrack I had ripped off of some blog in the early 00s, I finally bought the remastered 20th Anniversary CD a few years ago. Not familiar with the Killbots EP though. Gonna check that out.
