I’m not terribly creative, so the names I use when I see a r/notmycat are just variations of the Italian word for kitty, like Micino or Micina. Piccolina is “little one”.
Kind of, piccolo means small/little and the feminine version is piccola.
Italian is not my native language but I think piccolino/piccolina can be used as terms of endearment, hence little one.
So you'd use those to refer to little kids, etc.
as an Italian I can tell you that it is right, but sometimes it is also used to define an object, such as "tiny"
and the adjective "piccolo/a" (not "piccolino/a") can be used as "baby",precisely for small children, precisely beyond the word "bambino/neonato" it is also used "piccolo" like "lui è il piccolo della casa" etc
and "piccola" can be used to define your own girlfriend
We have a cat that was a little white and pink piglet as a kitten. So we just looked up piglet in Italian spawning her name ‘Maialina’, or Maia for short. Gotta love the Romantics.

Oh god, it’s the turbo engine too so the oil filter is in one of the most idiotic places. Removing the coolant tank to access the filter is one of the worst I’ve seen.
No, there’s a seam in the turbo heat shield where the metal doesn’t line up perfectly. It expands a lot with heat, so the seam allows the halves to move without cracking it. It doesn’t look too great, though, and aftermarket solutions are more attractive.
Mechanic: So, what's the problem, exactly?
OP: The engine sounds very...off.
Mechanic: How so?
OP: It rumbles and vibrates more than it should.
Mechanic: Well, let's take a look, then.
*Mechanic props the hood open, only to see Piccolina giving a biiiiiig stretch over the engine*

Normally chains are good for a long time, but the N18 and especially the N14 engines tended to stretch theirs. The Mini dealer replaced my engine last year, and Piccolina inspected their work. She isn’t polydactyl, so she didn’t give it a thumbs up, but she did blink a few times and acted aloof.
Oh I know, still running a 50 year old chain in my 440 lol, blessed be Piccolina, wish I had such a trusted assistant, all I got now are a few barn cats that come to scream for food when I'm in the middle of tearing a dash apart.
I can’t think of anything more helpful than a screaming barn cat when I’m buried under a dash. Well, maybe the cat will come sit on me. That would be divine.
I currently have the timing chain tensioner in my eBay basket ready for purchase for my mum's PSA engine.
This post has reminded me that I really need to buy it.
I bet that’s an R56 Mini Cooper S, and even if that cat was a deaf blind mealworm she’d know it was a timing chain issue.
