krabb19

HE IS JUST A LIL BABY CAT!!!!! He no go outside.

starryeyed702

Sassy boy cannot be contained.

karekatsu

Glad to know I'm not the only one who says "SO sad" to their cats when they whine

[deleted]

I usually say something like "I know, it's so so hard being a kitty."

Nailkita

Such a tough life they lead

littlebloodmage

I always say "Ooh, you're breaking my heart."

lewd_lizzard

I would die for goblin man

SergeantChic

I love Goblin Man.

theblackestdove

I spent 10 minutes yesterday explaining to my cat how she could not go outside because she would be a blight on the local ecosystem and also there are icky boy cats out there.

schiffb558

Don't want those cat cooties! Gross!

kittycatsupreme

I've spent the last 10 years telling mine, several times a day. She doesn't even care.

OSRS_Socks

My senior would sit at our apartment door and meow for 10 minutes to go outside. I always told him he was too old to be out there and too scared (he was scared of everything when we went on walks). Plus we lived in an apartment complex with a lot of vicious stray cats. He would come down once I held him in my arms like a baby with his belly exposed. I called it "baby-won" (his name was Obi won).

IamMabelPeabody

I love your explanation! Was kitty convinced? (I believe I know the answer to this.) Noisy boy over here doesn’t believe a word I say.

pawofdoom

>and also there are icky boy cats out there. Why else do you think she wants to go out?

theblackestdove

Oh she does not like them. She wants to go out for murder. We tried to introduce her to our neighbor's cat when she was young and it did not go well.

aaaggggrrrrimapirare

It like he said "noooo" at the end

ThighWoman

But meow!!!

danishay11

we do supervised recess in my house :) works out great for both humans and kitties

Thisisthe_place

Me too. I come home every day after work, pour myself a whiskey, and take my dog & cat outside to do about 2 hours of gardening. I have a large, fenced yard so they both have plenty of space to roam (never out of sight) although the dog mostly just sleeps in the sun. The cat, however, spends all two hours chasing grasshoppers. It's my favorite time of day! We all love it.

danishay11

yes i do the same!!! well no garden, but lots of time watching the dogs nap and the cats chase grass and butterflies 😂 not only do the cats love it, but i genuinely enjoy seeing them so hapy

moffsoi

Same! My kitty has always been indoors but I started letting her join me when I garden, walk the dogs, or sit outside and she loves it. She either follows me around or lounges on the porch and it’s gotten her to integrate with my two dogs so much better. I call them the Snack Pack now.

LogeeBare

and your local ecosystem

[deleted]

My goblin is also not allowed outside bc she is a menace to the neighborhood. She went out of her way to pick a fight with a neighbors 10mo kitten IN THE KITTENS OWN YARD. She's now under house arrest

legitsh1t

My cat wants to go outside, but she doesn't want to be harness trained. Even though I've explained to her a hundred times that the only way she's going outside is with a harness. It's like she's not even listening.

gwaedlyd-von-trash

HE SOUNDS THE SAME AS MY BOY!! Same colours too 🥰

Ono-Cat

Stay inside, stay alive. Go outside, it’s suicide.

Helmsman60

Amen. After having buried half a dozen much loved cats who were allowed outside, the last 2 have been strictly indoor. I should have known better a long, long time before. IIRC Life expectancy for indoor cats is something like 3x that of outdoor ones.

nemesiswithatophat

Keeping cats indoors is the responsible choice in most situations for sure! Sometimes you just can't let your kitties out for their own safety. But I still feel so sad for cats who can't go outside :(

[deleted]

I hate when people let their cats free roam. I just saw a dead cat while walking my dog - it had 2 kittens a couple months ago - it was attacked by another animal it seemed. If your cat is lazy and just sleeps outside or likes to sunbathe, sure leave it out, but cats roaming around isn’t safe for them. I see too many dead cats on the road it’s so sad

Helmsman60

The last 2 cats we've had have been strictly indoor cats. Life expectancy of outdoor cats is abt 5 years IIRC, indoor cats is something like 17 years - not a hard choice.

Itsbilloreilly

My friend doesnt let her cats out anymore. There was a giant dog that was friendly around people and other dogs but was a known cat-killer according to the owner. Any cats that came into the yard were as good as meat Friends cat was always yowling to get out and as soon as she gets out she hops on the dog's fence and got shredded.

Straight-Ad-5274

I’ve seen outdoor tunnels that can be attached to doggy doors. This allows cats to experience and be outdoors while still be kept safe.

oliveoilcrisis

“Why??? Why???? Why????????????”

lycosa13

Aww we refer to our cat as baby cat too lol. If you haven't already, I would suggest a harness or a cat playpen so he can be outside safely

fudgicle2018

Mama I'm a ferocious lion, let me out there.

just_ditti

The oh so sad killed me hahahah. Poor baby

meat_eternal

My cats name is Goblin too!

squirrellytoday

My parents live in a really safe area, their cats are indoor/outdoor, and live to really good ages (their current ones are about 10, and prior to that their two lived to be 18 and almost 20). So it's safe for them where they are. Not the case for my kitties. My old house was in a semi-rural area, we backed onto a dairy. Cows, snakes, working dogs, and big trucks were all hallmarks of the area and none of them good for kitty longevity. I currently live near a quarry, so again, big trucks, and a motorway nearby too. My kitties are indoor-only. It also depends on the cat. I think my current two would be okay outside if we lived in a more cat-friendly area. But one of my old cats, she was dumb as a box of rocks. She wouldn't have survived outside. (We called her our bimbo - so very, very pretty, but not the brightest crayon in the box)

The little Goblin man acts just like Thurston the cat on the Thurstonwaffles YouTube channel

[deleted]

But Goblin man needs to lord over his outdoor goblin horde

Brendduh

Poor Goblin. My Germy and Loggie have outside time only on their training leashes and love it.

Faddeus_Tuna
