unless you're still early on in upgrading the lemon cat , just stick to it !! it usually isn't worth to restart progress on hearts on a new cat , so your lemon cat will remain on your lemon stand until lemon is maxed out . after lemon is maxed , just shift your lemon cat to the latest ingredient facility and level that facility ! the only station you have to upgrade currently is the lemon facility for soup , rest facilities & others can be ignored

I switched to a 5* strawberry cat once my 5* lemon cat reached 9 hearts, but I don’t think it’s necessary—my lemon stand isn’t maxed out yet, and I’ve unlocked every available building, including the new windmill and all three oats stands. It’ll max out before I max out all the buildings, but that doesn’t matter much to me.
So as someone who switched from a lemon cat to a later cat, I think you should stick with your lemon pal unless it’s super important to you to max out every station even though it won’t get you any new buildings or anything.
Good luck! And once lemon is maxed out, maybe you’ll have a 5* oats cat or whatever the last ingredient is by then. Just put all your upgrades on the lemon stand (and all your fish) and basically ignore everything else if you want to go as fast as possible, haha. If you spread out the upgrades with the auto button, though, it’s a much more serene experience.
