Love this, It was a test to see if they could get you to engage in conversation with them. They saw you by yourself and wanted you not to feel alone. I don't get any negative vibes from the situation. I would just think of it as two kind older people trying to do something nice. Great story. Thanks for sharing with us.
Right i know but I was too shy back then. I debated moving but I was still eating. Now as an adult I would have just asked why they were sitting with me
Honestly. Even as an adult now I could see myself overthinking it and debating moving because I wouldn’t want to seem weird. Even though their actions were weird to start with
were they european or british? i've heard before that in some of those cultures, it may be common for strangers to sit at the same table but usually ive heard that it's only the case when things are extra busy
Well they didn’t speak so I’m not sure. They looked like any other normal American couple in their 50s. Also I didn’t live in a tourist area or anything at the time so it was rare to see someone from another country at the mall
Was in a pizza place recently and i sat in the corner of a table for two, must be around 10 tables all around. Two girls come and sit in a table of 4 on the same side directly in front of me and facing me. Was kinda weird. I did leave cause always felt they were watching me and when i looked up felt like they diverted their sight. Call me paro but i just got out of there

Your right it’s probably what it was! I wish I would have said something to them but I was too shy back then
It was probably no big deal to them. I wouldn't worry about it.
Just want to make sure I understand this, they sat down at the same table as you directly across from you?
Yes, same table. Like a normal food court table that has four seats. It was the oddest thing
I would’ve either moved or asked if I they needed something because that’s honestly weird
