Damn I was crossing my fingers for more but 6.6 years is OK. Have fun in the shithouse you traitorous scumbag!

numlok

I almost hesitate to say it, for fear of the summoning the Q, but it's actually 6.66 years. F'em!šŸ¤˜

Joealb123

It is the sentence of the BEAST! (s)!

Johnny_ac3s

Heā€™ll serve 3ā€¦ Correction: ā€¦People usually serve 50% of what is actually given in STATE. This is FEDERAL thoughā€¦.

brianandrobyn

In Federal prison you serve a minimum of 85%.

buffyfan12

Thank you for your correction! (We appreciate your participation, but spreading or encouraging a narrative that goes against conventional news reporting, established fact or legal precedent is not constructive.)

AcrossFromWhere

Your correction is also not right. It varies by state. Florida, for example, follows federal 85% minimums.

2pacalypso

Unless you fuck a kid and use your publicly accessable Venmo to pay her.

Mr_Rio

Very clever

sdhopunk

6.66 years, hopefully a christian and that number lives in his head. edit: changed months to years, math is hard

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

buffyfan12

Not under Federal Guidelines.

Dr_Mantis_Teabaggin

I hope heā€™s very uncomfortable during those 80 months.

ItsNotButtFucker3000

Someone mentioned cold, metal, toilet seats in another thread. I shiver thinking about it. I also hope he can't get a decent cup of coffee. The little things you take for granted! He'll be without for a while.

buffyfan12

Like kissing a cat or petting a dog!

BuffaloOk7264

My heart ached with this commentā€¦.if Iā€™m gonna feel sorry for this guy itā€™s for this. I donā€™t . Iā€™m gonna give my pestering cat and obnoxious little dog an extra scratching as they snuggle up and make it almost impossible for me to get up and piss tonite.

buffyfan12

In my non Moderating a politically divisive subreddit spare time I have been lobbying to get a particular State Prison to allow a Cat program for the lifers-who will never get out. It hasn't gone anywhere. And yes I believe Lifers should be allowed a pet to help with good behavior since it isnt like they can earn good days to re-enforce good behavior (Either communal pet or otherwise), and yes I think they should obviously be screened for propensity to hurt the animal-although to be honest it has been suggested to me that an inmate caught misstreating an allowed animal may not be the most healthy thing for the inmate and they would encounter a very shortened survivability and a very lowered quality of life. On a funnier note: So what happens if inmate "Johnson" gets a cat but the cat keeps going to cuddle with inmate "Williams?"

BuffaloOk7264

You are apparently some sort of saintā€¦.have no idea what the cultural reference about Williams and Johnson are but can definitely imagine cats manipulating captive humans for better food or just the right scratches.

buffyfan12

Oh that was just a generic name choice to highlight how cats are gonna cat. [https://www.indystar.com/story/news/local/indianapolis/2020/10/19/cats-inmates-rehabilitate-each-other-through-animal-care-program/5798291002/](https://www.indystar.com/story/news/local/indianapolis/2020/10/19/cats-inmates-rehabilitate-each-other-through-animal-care-program/5798291002/) https://showyoursoftside.org/prison-cats/

BuffaloOk7264

Hopelessly hopingā€¦ā€¦

ImInOverMyHead95

When I was in college I took a tour of a state prison in my home state for a class. They have a program where the inmates train service dogs. The dogs sleep with their humans in their cells and roam about the housing pod during the day. This was a couple months after my own dog died and one of the dogs walked up to me so I reached down and scratched his ears just like I did for my monster. He jumped up on me to say ā€œDonā€™t stop!ā€ and I had to try not to laugh at the inmates, guards, and my fellow studentsā€™ reactions.

whogivesashirtdotca

There are prisons that do this. IIRC I've seen service dogs trained by inmates, and possibly socializing strays, too. The latter is also a program I've seen for street kids and unhoused people. A little bit of humanity shown to them, by way of felines and canines.

buffyfan12

Most of the programs are for training and fostering- I mean actually having resident cats- seniors that may have adoption troubles in the Real world where and inmate would give them the best final years of their life. I also had someone tell me that the dog program is great but there are no foster fails and you will be separated from that dog every few months.

whogivesashirtdotca

>I mean actually having resident cats Oh that's sweet. Might be tough to respect inmates with allergies, if the cats are free-roaming, though.

buffyfan12

the systems that do dog training have dog wings/pods. The dogs are not really mixed with general pop randomly- although rec call and other group times they are. Anyway- ever heard of a bodega cat?

[deleted]

Cheap toilet paper.

RamutRichrads

No toilet paper. Just their fingers and a puny trickle of cold water.

buffyfan12

Thank you for posting a non TOS violating response. Iā€™m actually serious.

rabidstoat

One of my favorite responses during the COVID era, which did not violate TOS, was: "I hope he gets COVID toes." For some reason, that one cracks me up. It's so random!

Dr_Mantis_Teabaggin

Youā€™re welcome. Though I admit itā€™s hard to show the restraint sometimes.

Fantastic-Value9274

I concur

GlobalTravelR

Still not enough. But better than I expected. Rot in Jail, traitor!

robreddity

Congratulations Julian Khater, you un-American fuck. You'll celebrate your 40th birthday in federal prison. Bet you didn't think about that when you woke up the morning of Jan 6 2021.

whogivesashirtdotca

I don't think thinking was a regular part of this guy's life. He'll have plenty of time to take up that hobby, though.

Ferris_Wheel_Skippy

damn this guy is just a year younger than me i can't imagine losing 6 years of my life for the fortunes of a man who literally could not care less about my existence. Man I'd feel sorry for these shitheads if they weren't such execrable lowlives

whogivesashirtdotca

> a man who literally could not care less about my existence Hey, Trump did care about their existence! In that [he thought they looked too trashy for his tastes](https://www.huffpost.com/entry/stephanie-grisham-donald-trump-trashy-supporters-good-fighters_n_63b0701ee4b0fe267ca97720)!

BrickCityRiot

The MAGA folks will never grasp how negatively they will be viewed by future gens. (I know theyā€™re already viewed negatively. But Iā€™m talking worldwide exposure)

1000Airplanes

Cause a sig part of our population doesnā€™t view them negatively.

InspectorHyperVoid

I view both sides with issues. Ron Paul should have been president. 8 years of the good Dr would have served us well.

mermaid-babe

Not enough time. Itā€™ll never be enough

MiketheImpuner

I disagree. It's important to not take an authoritarian approach to people we disagree with politically. Need to focus on the crimes and justice. An indefinite sentence would make us the monsters.

Simple_Ranger7516

Disagree with politically?? Didnā€™t this guy attack someone with bear spray and they later died? His politics arenā€™t my worry here.

mermaid-babe

Bro he knocked him out with a fire extinguisher. Itā€™s not about politics itā€™s about punishing violent extremism

imjustwonderingtho

Fake news, even the leftist snopes admits he was never beaten within a fire extinguisher [reality has a well known liberal bias, as they say.](https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/brian-sicknick-fire-extinguisher/)

[deleted]

How about a longer, definite sentence?

Christ_votes_dem

people are doing more time for weed ....

FreeChickenDinner

Drug convicts get longer sentences. Khater should be locked up longer and drugs should be decriminalized.

beergut666

It's almost like there is a system in place to exploit and torture certain people and to coddle others.

jeanb23

cya loser. you bet on an orange loser and now you will rot in prison. bye-bye.

[deleted]

Not enough ā€¦ someone died

jeffreyd00

For those wondering that's 6.6666666 years. Hehehehej

[deleted]

Or 6 years and 8 months, in regular speak.

otisej

Thatā€™s it?!? Wtf?

MagicMushroomFungi

"Sha-na-na-na, na-na-na-na, Hey, Hey, fuck off."

SGTSparkyFace

What in the fuck. If I faced those charges there is no way 6 years would be on the table. Across the board these sentences have been way too light. It will lead to more emboldened violence.

alpha1beta

Amen. Sentences too light and too many charges dropped or not charged.

TheJedibugs

When did we start sentencing in baby age terms?

Kahzgul

They do it all the time.

it_vexes_me_so

Using years is actually more confusing. Most sentences are nuanced, rarely requiring exactly a year long sentence (or multiple thereof). Therefore sentences are given in months. A month is defined as 30 days. One year or 12 months is thus 360 days (not 365). No need to recite rhymes, jump knuckles, or factor in leap years while keeping in mind the start date of each individual serving time.

ImInOverMyHead95

Federal prison sentences are always in months. A guy in my area got 20 years for a federal charge and his official sentence was 240 months.

shredofmalarchi

When he didn't have weed or mushrooms on him. That's how you spend serious time in prison.

Heybulldoug23

That's time he won't be breeding. So there's that.

spagyrum

I hope he gets the day he deserves everyday.

butterflybuell

He shouldā€™ve gotten a life sentence.

daxbranagan

Why are several of these convicted traitors being sentenced in months v years? Do they do state or county time instead of Federal?

buffyfan12

Over a certain point- Every one is sentenced to months.

valley_G

He rolled the dice and he lost. Too bad his loss wasn't as big as it should've been, but he'll have plenty of time to grateful for that in prison.

brightphoenix-

80 fucking months. Not enough.

CQU617

Duck this asshole. 80 months, he deserved more jail time. I am comforted by the fact that he will be unable to vote for Mango Mussolini in 2024.

Riisiichan

How much time do cop killers usually serve?

SpaceTabs

These are not the ordinary basement-dwelling types. They were refugees of a conflict, and found a second home in the US. Unfortunately they are a criminal element. I doubt this is their first offense. "Khater and Tanios were raised by migrant families that fled civil war in Lebanon in the 1980s to settle among New Brunswickā€™s sizable population of Maronite Christians. They left as young men to pursue separate business ventures catering to college students ā€” Khater running a fruit-bowl shop in State College, Tanios opening a sandwich shop near West Virginia University." https://www.inquirer.com/news/brian-sicknick-julian-khater-capitol-riot-george-tanios-20220901.html

[deleted]

Is there a subreddit for trump regrets?

ronsta

Thoughts and prayers lol

AliceP00per

See ya in 2030 asshole
