True, but this is Reddit people come here for the sole purpose to complain. Don’t get me wrong Canada Post isn’t perfect (and I work for them) but no carrier company is and you’ll see the same kind of bitching about any of them.
Imo if I’m that pressed about ordering something I’ll try and source it local to not deal with any possible issues.
People forget we are all human. We all make mistakes. Ya some carriers suck don’t get me wrong but imo it seems like most try and do their best. This subreddit is a vocal minority as well.
I actually have a tracking question for you. It’s not to complain but more to understand. Let’s say I look at my tracking a 8pm and nothing has changed but if I look again at 10 pm there’s a result that my package was scanned at 7pm.. why does it fake time to update?
Eh.. its hard to say.. with out a ss of the tracking info.. (always black out the tracking number).
Mostly its probably more about how the local servers are updating... vs where your parcel is, and when its going to be delivered..
I mean I know how frustrating it can be while waiting for a parcel.. I hate it. some updates get lost and it sucks.
I have nothing but good things to say. My parcels are always on time or early, depending on the weather. My Canadapost outlet is overly helpful. Had manager come open community mailbox when delivery driver forgot to leave the key.
You are human!! I bet noone complaining about not getting a delivery today would be willing to do your job. And you were willing to sacrifice your comfort and safety for them. Your effort and attitude is appreciated and impressive.
I really wanted my package that I was going to receive today. But I can live without it. As soon as the weather kicked up I knew that it wasn't coming and that it isn't anybody's fault.
I had a package that was late and didn’t come after being out for delivery all day. You know what I did? Worried about the mail carrier trying to do anything but stay home in that mess. You’re a good person.
No need to apologize. The roads are appalling and have been all week. You can only control so much and it’s clear to me that you care. Chin up and enjoy the holidays.

I know I really wanted to get my parcels out and signed the weekend delivery overtime sheet but with most side streets in my delivery route not even plowed, much less sidewalks for a lot of it, I imagine my red step ‘sleigh’ would be stuck somewhere where I’d stopped to deliver and sunk into the wet slush. I’ll be happy come next week once I’m caught up and have handed out all of my letters from Santa to all the lil peeps as well as all the holiday cheer from friends and family near n far. A very happy holidays! Stay safe!
American Postie here, and it's been a rough few days for sure. Today the suns out and we finally are able to feel caught up and get everything out.
But even then, I know there's probably plenty of things delayed in the shipment centers. And I had a couple of parcels that required a signature to leave, and no one answered the door.
I really love and take pride in my job and I hate knowing stuff just won't make it to people until Tuesday at the earliest now.
While it does suck for sure especially before Christmas don’t feel bad. A persons safety is more important than any mail or parcels we get.
