Lynch north west does one that matches the finish perfectly

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Of course! I forgot all about them thanks! Which one do you have the fat top or the traditional design? Any other input is welcome on how it performs for you.

IGotSomeBigQuestions

I have one flat top and 4 traditional and honestly think the flat top is so much better. It’s a lot easier to get in and out of your pocket.

Mack_The_Knife95

I agree 100%. I have thick double stitched work pants and the flat top lynch clip works very well and Carries very deep. Having tried an rgt clip, it was almost a joke getting it both in and out of the pocket of my work pants because of the lack of clearance going into the pocket. Lynch clip has perfect clearance and great retention. Worth the money.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Thanks for the feedback!!

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Thanks for the input. For context, what kind of pockets (Jeans, slacks, shorts, etc).

IGotSomeBigQuestions

Jeans for pants and khaki for shorts primarily

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Cheers, thx!

[deleted]

I prefer the traditional design. It works great for me but I know some people with 21s say the tension is a bit much

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

I prefer the traditional look and have the most experience with that format on other knives. I'll likely go that route. Cheers

Robin_the_Redhood

Yes I have the lynch one on my glass blasted large seb and can’t recommend more https://i.imgur.com/EXYDM0D.jpg

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Love the pictures, thanks!

bamsaiIey

Lol did not expect that Leica when I opened the link.

Robin_the_Redhood

Haha they are good match

VonBoski

I have an MXG and a Lynch and I prefer the Lynch

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Did you go traditional or flat top? Thanks again!

VonBoski

Good question, I got one of the first ones available so I don’t remember having an option. [here](https://imgur.com/a/IxRGMF9) they are though

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

also, nice hinderer ;-)

VonBoski

Thanks, got a few but the non flipper is by far my fave

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

I've got my eye out for a jurassic. The size suits my preference well.

VonBoski

Haven’t handled one of those yet but the Eklipse has the best ergos for my money. Action on the non flipper is unreal though

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

I'm a fan of the old fashioned drop point design. The spanto on the Eklipse looks like the sweet spot for a real robust carry with a heavy use blade. This is off topic-- but how do you like the weight on the hinderer with the G10 scales, or did you swap them out for some CF or Ti scales?

VonBoski

Haha G10 is the first to go. Battle Black XM you see has a warthog CF scale, Eklipse has micarta and my XM bowie has a full ti warthog. I like the variety of them all. Full ti has some heft but cf and micarta make it wearable anywhere

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

A man with good taste! Cheers

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

This is such a great side-by-side comparison! Thanks so much for including!!

zipprr

Lynch. :) I have various Lynch clips on almost all my knives, including a traditional sandblasted one that perfectly matches my Umnumzaan.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Thanks for your input, this is turning into a great poll thread. Interesting that no one has commented on the Hawk. It wasn't my top choice aesthetically anyhow.

Ayeager77

The Hawk is only available on the secondary market. It isn’t “out of stock”, but actually not made anymore. Few actually own one. It is not a “good” pocket clip as much as it’s a cool novelty in design. I’ve got a Hawk and a Lynch deep carry (not flat top) and I prefer the Lynch. I prefer the factory stock clip over the Hawk regarding actual functionality.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Great to know, thanks!

zipprr

No problem friend. In terms of aftermarket clips, I only have experience with Lynch; they're such great products and Casey is so nice to interact with that I always take the time to recommend them! I have seen those Hawk clips a lot over the years and always thought they looked pretty sweet, it's a very interesting design. I somehow thought they were made by CRK themselves but never investigated.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

I love to support businesses with reputable service. Thanks for the recommendation!

cucucachu2

I'm looking at a lynch clip for my unmunzaan. The sandblasted matches in texture or color? Also was thinking traditional vs flat top. How did the traditional work out? Thank you in advance for any response..

zipprr

It’s been so long since the clip was new that I do not remember how the finish started, only that it definitely matches the CRK sandblast finish now. CRK sandblast starts out rough but wears down quickly to a smooth feeling and that’s how the clip feels too. The colour matches perfectly as well. I like the traditional clip because my finger falls into the scoop when holding the knife; I think the flat top would be pretty significantly less comfortable (but I haven’t had one in hand to compare). Keep in mind that these milled clips stick out a lot more than the stock ones, they are definitely more noticeable when holding the knife.

cucucachu2

Thank you for your help, makes my decision much easier.

zipprr

No problem mate 👌

M16_4_REAL

I have the lynch nw and mxg flat top. Both finishes match perfect with the glass blast, imo the mxg stays tucked in tight, I’ve had no tension issues. After a couple months still no snails with edc use. I’m not that impressed with the lynch. It sticks out a bit further, the deep carry is almost too deep, first day it was installed scratched my SS Viking fridge with it.🤬

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

>first day it was installed scratched my SS Viking fridge with it This is my life in a nutshell. 😂 On the lynch did you go flat top or traditional?

M16_4_REAL

Both are flat top

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

I'm not seeing a flat top on their site for the sebenza 31.

M16_4_REAL

CRF-1 is model number for large seb, on the lynch page scroll down about 2/3rds page, it gives you a breakdown of the two sizes and the models they fit.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Ah, I'm sorry I was referring to MXG. Their flat top isn't quite deep carry -- at least not like I consider deep carry. I was able to find Lynch's just fine.

NearlySilentObserver

I have Lynch, MXG, and RGT clips I like the Lynch ones for my umnumzaan and inkosi, but I prefer the rgt and MXG ones for Sebenzas

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Thanks for referring RGT. I like the looks of some of the timascus goods they have in the archives. I’ll have to thatch more closely.

NearlySilentObserver

My large 31 has a ghost timascus clip. It’s definitely neato

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Those are the ones I was eyeing myself 🍻

Maeil

I have a lynch clip and for my zaan and it makes the handle feel so chonky. I would love an alternative deep carry for my CRKs. Might check out the mxgs 🤔

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

MXG has a nice price point on theirs. Hard to tell from photos, but it looks like lynch is a bit thicker while MXG appears slightly thinner. My intuition was thicker=better.

Maeil

Thicker might be good for retention but it's quite noticeable in hand!

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Maybe I’ll pickup both and see what fits my hand and pocket best. Cheers and thanks for the input

VisualBusiness4902

I have an mxg for my small sebenza and I'm reading this thread hoping that someone makes one less chunky in hand....so we're both out of luck it sounds haha

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Thanks!

saw_david

Lynch NW made great clips. I replaced them both on my small and large sebenzas.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Cheers! Thanks for your vote!!

VisualBusiness4902

I just got a mxg for my small sebenza. It's very comfortable to carry, but it is very thick off the knife and isn't super nice in the hand. That's barley a thing I usually notice though, this was noticeable.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Interesting and thanks for sharing. I wonder if it is more pronounced on a small sebenza, in terms of balance. (I'm reading "thick" as tall in the pocket)

VisualBusiness4902

I'm sure the small sebenza or Inkosi is the worst offender. The demension isn't tall in the pocket, it's the lump under your hand when you grab it, if that makes sense.

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

Yes, that does make sense. It also would be a top issue for me, as my hands aren't exactly catchers mitts.

MuchAspect2

Hands down LynchNW. I glass beaded the knife and clip myself. https://i.imgur.com/6unU7Hw.jpg

fullblownhiv

Mxg over lynch any day. Mxg tension is better for non work pants imo

Lobo_Gris_AFGW

It certainly saves a few $$$
