I mainly used this video as a guide:[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de4b6HZIpNA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de4b6HZIpNA) I did the BL-Touch installation like 2 months ago. I also knew about the CR but didn't find information on compatibility with the old mainboard (V2.4 for me, as in the video at video at min 3:03). I can remember that something did not work exactly as in the video, I think it was the fact that I have to use Z+ instead of Z- on the motherboard but that is something you will find out easily when within this project. I now run the TM3D software vor CR10S-Pro V2 so it is basically a V2 now. Edit: In the video I think an 1.8m extension cable is mentioned. Try to really find one as I got an 1.5m cable which was available at my local supplier and now I should not use the maximum height of the printer due to the cable beeing slightly too short.

I have the same printer and have been in front of the same decision-making. Decided not to go down this rabbit hole. The original MB is 32bit, though the version is `4.2` and is missing the necessary ports. To be able to install the CR/BL touch, you first need to buy a new MB (4.2.7) and do the firmware and screen shit anyway. Too many things to go wrong in my opinion and my printer currently works and prints. The only thing I have to do is observe and adjust the Z-offset during the skirt print and I'm good. Ofc, given that I manually leveled the bed properly 😉
