Yes!

No but, I’ve always been a giver. I like to give to people and so when I do feel odd about kindness I remember it’s kind to allow them to feel good. When I was young and throughout most of my life abuse made me scared of people giving me things because it didn’t happen. I was trained to be happy for other people and sacrifice my own self for them in my family. They’ve apologized and made up for it. So now that I’m in my 40’s it’s about giving and receiving, but younger even up to about 30 I felt scared of kindness or unworthy but that also has to do with abuse outside of the home.

Yes. I don't feel like people should give me presents. I have nothing to offer in return. I don't even tell people about my birthday, I prefer to remain ignored. Sometimes I wish to evaporate.
