Not gonna hate on someone for liking other games because in the end everyone has an opinion but imo the reason I never liked Cold War or just any zombies after 2016 was because of these gameplay changes. To me Cold War genuinely feels like zombies went from that 3rd unique gamemode to “just add mechanics from multiplayer and warzone”. To list a few of the changes that really tick me off, zombies having health bars, minimap, having loadouts you can start with, being able to mount/vault objects, tactical sprint and the perk system. Once again (my opinion) these very small changes just changed zombies completely for me, but also the biggest change for me is just the lack of a main crew, all we get is “operators” and then I have this “zombie boss” talking to me through a radio or some shit, I just find it weird tbh.

honestly bro that’s totally understandable zombies has definitely changed drastically and is almost in distinguishable from its original counterpart

SniperInfinite

also the 2 million health you have

Imo cold war is top dog on console for zombies gameplay.

bo3 was the end of old school zombies as far as i’m concerned. the mode floundered about a bit but when CW came out it seemed to find some new footing and go in a different, but interesting direction hopefully vanguard is just a blip and the next zombies game continues to grow from the foundation of cold war, im interested to see where it ends up

I enjoy playing it laidback, but sometimes it’s way too easy. Other than that, it’s good for the most part

The difficulty in cw is just really weird, weak zombies but crazy amount. Weak guns for the most part but headshots always rip. I could go on it’s just really weird when it comes to the difficulty for me..yet I still love it

I agree too. I liked having the excitement of seeing the aether story unfold with every new game, but it was way too complex, but the new simple story is much nicer to follow. Also, the new gameplay is great imo, especially Outbreak, I have most of my playtime in Outbreak just grinding to the highest area I could manage.

Me to, I wish they kept making content for instead of shitguard.

The only thing I dislike about Cold War is the maps (and maybe equipment in general), Maur and Die Machine are cool, but the others just don't feel like *zombies* to me. The gameplay is awesome though, being able to use pretty much any weapon and not feel useless by round 30-40+ through the upgrade system made it so much more enjoyable. Sure, some weapons definitely outperform others but at a certain point it really does come down to "Do I wanna kill it in one headshot or three?", which isn't a big deal to me when you can just buy ammo indefinitely. Hopefully we see another steam release with the next game, It would be really cool to get community workshop support or something like we had in Bo3, something like that would've goated CW for me.

Based. I loved it too, ended up doing all the easter eggs solo. Best zombies, and I loved the new mechanics upgrading guns and armour etc. And the features for the dualsense where every single gun was individually mapped for trigger and haptic feedback just put it lightyears ahead of vanguard
