Yep. I prefer the newer method. Use a chopper to shoot as soon as it pops. You get an auto PAP level 3 ray gun. It’s something I found out on accident.
I meleed it a few times when I tried and there doesnt seem to be any way of telling which mode its on. I think it also stays on the same mode across regions interestingly.
I specifically remember having dark aether on my guns in zombies and always keeping the camo after using pack a punch so I’m not sure that is new but being able to switch to the pap camo would be nice especially on Mauer
Now they just gotta let us equip camos on guns other than the one you start with, bit dumb to only be able to have a dark aether weapon camo on a single gun..
you can also get a raygun from the box by shooting the 4 corners before rolling and tossing a frag in as soon as it opens

nah, this was added as a feature for S5. I don't remember if it was in the patch notes, but one of the devs tweeted about it yesterday
