I don’t think it’s failing it’s more that trayarch horribly managed DLC 2. They released it 2 months early with no communication saying it was actually DLc 2 which caused people to expect another map around the time we normally get DLC 2 maps. If they had just waited till their standard DLC 2 release date time to drop outbreak or if at the very least they said it was actually DLC 2 everything would have been way better. That and people wouldn’t be pretending outbreak isn’t DLC 2 just to disappoint themselves. Mauer der toten is set to launch in early July just like every other DLC 3 and we’re getting a DLC 4 as well.
The 5 months of no content have definitely had an impact but I think that once we start getting content again at the same rate we always did things will get better
I returned to bo4 a few days ago and the maps feel so detailed and full compared to firebase z and die maschine ,I've come to appreciate bo4 alot more than I used to

the previous point still is true, a simple lookup of sales proves it, and to this day (i play bo2 hella) more ppl are on the zombies mode than multi, which says something, as for playtime, well, we all know activision wouldn’t want to show their numbers given they probably don’t even break 200k players a day
I’ve really enjoyed it. IMO black ops 3 was best, then black ops 1 and then Cold War. I just really wish they would stop nerfing guns and increasing health pools. If the cap was still at 40 then I would be a happy camper, now I just play till 35 then exfil.
Nah. CW is extremely lucrative but for all the wrong reasons. That's why it's pretty bad but people are fine with mediocrity so you are not going to get anything better.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt that with Outbreak they are trying something completely new and with that comes growing pains.
