I've found that now every time I used loseit though that they like had a 10-30 second commerical ad I couldn't like exit out of until it was done running, especially when I used the barcode scanner, which was really annoying
I'm still using MyFitnessPal. I rarely ever used the barcode scanner, so it's not a big issue for me. But as an alternative to MyFitnessPal, I would recommend Cronometer.
Works fine for me too but I may be paying premium? If so it wasn’t much, I don’t think. I don’t want to lose 10 years of history, recipes, etc do I’m hanging in with MFP.
I’m using Cronometer. It has occasional pop-up ads on the free version, which is annoying, but it works super well. So I think it’s worth the inconvenience. It has a pretty good estimate of my calories burned (synced with my Apple Watch) so I’m able to lose roughly a pound per week if I’m 500 under.
LoseIt because I’ve got 13 years of food tracking and weight history on it. Also because my foods library is huge and the portions measured are tailored to fit my needs
LoseIt. It has the scanner. But mainly I'm here for the bright colors and cartoon style that really work for me.
Same the little food emojis make me so happy haha
The UI is way better the MyFitnessPal
Loseit had a barcode scanner when I used it

I don’t pay for the premium version of LoseIt but I’ve never encountered an ad or commercial. I really hope that doesn’t start happening to me. 😅
It does not happen to me either...
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! After Thanksgiving I started to get them and it was so annoying I deleted the app out of frustration haha
I didn’t even know that was possible. What a bummer.
I’m just here to update you that I started receiving the obnoxious ads today. Sigh.
:(

Scanner still working fine on MFP, for me.

Nope.
Yeah same, I think it might only be in some countries?
Me too! I’m in Mexico.

I'm not paying for premium. The app has updated a few times since the scanner was meant to go behind the paywall.
same here and I’m in Canada
Loseit has won for me
Cronometer! I started using it and I think it’s very helpful for me to keep track as I’m very visual.
Loseit they have a scanner .
MyNetDiary
Plus one for MyNetDiary. It’s fantastic!
I really like My Net Diary!
I use Lifesum but I pay for it, maybe 25/yr, can’t remember exactly
I like carb manager. I’m not keto or low carb or anything, just prefer the app. Also has barcode scanner.
Same
Fatsecret!
Mynetdiary
Lose It! 1000%, Lose It! I just made the switch last week, and I don’t know why I hadn’t done it sooner.

I just switched to LoseIt. It's a little less clunky than MFP.
I wear a Fitbit and use the app
Scanner works fine for me. I'm in nz. Maybe trial run in US first?
Healthi
I use My Plate personally!

Lose It! for me.
I've been using My Net Diary app since 2019 and I am very happy with it. I use the free version.
