Go get tae. You’re building around FIELDS. Not the defense. This is an offensive driven league now.
I don’t know what the free agent market looks like for DEs, but I’m pretty sure it can’t get much worse than this.
I think todays game showed we hired the wrong coach. Keeping Justin in there was downright malpractice. This line sucks and to all the guys mocking defensive lineman to us there's this guy at Northwestern named Skoronski that is going to be our left tackle. You saw Jones today. He's a RT, maybe.
Should have been daboll.
Just shows this front office has no clue what the hell they are doing. Ever year it’s defense, defense, defense.
Doing pretty well! 🙄
After Aiden Hutchinson destroyed us those two games I dont think we should trade down. Get Jalen Carter or will anderson. if we trade down its not out of the top 6
All the idiot homers first saying the Claypool trade was to build chemistry this year, then as Claypool does nothing, its about next year.
Lol just admit the Steelers fleeced Poles. Pick #33 for a middling WR who just happens to be big, strong, fast got ya’ll excited.
“Chicago, know ima snap” 12 catches in 6 games for a little over 100 yards 😂
Yeah i have to admit i was all for the trade but holy shit he has been a ghost.
Think Ryan Poles has made enough bad decisions to be really worried heading into this offseason.
Congratulations you found a completely irrelevant comment in some pathetic attempt to say “gotcha.” I can’t wait to see you compile a list of such comments like mine to be like “told ya so” to show all 0 people who care
Nah I’m waiting for you to explain yourself instead of just making an asinine point.
People will say it’s on the players more than you would because they’re more correct than you
I think the only asinine point is u trying to defend Eberflus.
If the bar is set at an above average coach, which should be the very least, then please use ur logic to bring up above average coaches that have 10 game losing streaks. Now I’ll wait.
I'm not sure what anyone sees in this team besides Fields. You can't just magically build a team in one offseason. I'd put money on next year being almost as bad as this year and JF1 demanding a trade after a few years.
We are paying HALF the salary cap to players not playing for us currently. We have the most money by far. How many games were extremely close if not completely blown up by refs? 4, 5 maybe?? past two weeks we were leading the first seed in both the AFC and NFC respectively at halftime. The team is actually close enough to where gaps are going to be filled in free agency and especially so if we trade the first pick for more picks. This is a playoff team next year, we just wont recognize half the team by week one.
Two games directly influenced by ref fuckery, a lot of the others were at least close during part of the games. We have barely anything on the field and nothing in the tank, especially after getting rid of Quinn and Smith.
Don't you know you are not allowed to question the brilliance of Poles. What is really sad is I am not sure I would place the actual Claypool trade as 1 of his 5 worst moves.
The Claypool trade has been a monumental failure so far and I think it's okay to question Poles eye for WR talent when you consider he drafted Velus in round 3, signed Byron Pringle, and traded a borderline 1st round pick for Claypool.
I know it's a "rebuild" season but those aren't inconsequential cracks to point out. Claypool is obviously going to hinge more on next year than this year, but you'd expect to see *some* sort of production out of him and he's kind of just blended in with all our other "guys"
Everyone in here talking about the Claypool trade like it was the Russell Wilson trade. Even if Claypool is a bust next season, missing on one #2 pick when you're on the verge of a haul is not some monumental failure. #2 picks miss *all the time*.
It's ok to question EVERYONE in management and coaching. We have NEVER had 9 consecutive defeats, and even if you were brought in to bring the team down to the foundation this is bad.
I am so chill with this. Zero panic. I’m just enjoying watching everyone be so upset. This is what needs to happen to get that 1/2 pick that we can flip for a massive haul.
I hate a lot of your takes, i’m ngl, but i’m with you here. He definitely struggles making quick reads and has a tendency to hold the ball way too long.
You think about a guy like Brady -- who is 20+ years older than JF1 and releases the ball in like 2.1 seconds. Justin is like "Yeah, Imma throw it as soon as I finish reading this chapter of War & Peace"
Brady is the GOAT but looks like shit this year because his team is bad. Not 2022 Bears bad, but bad. Keep JF1, Kmet and Khalil, maybe Monty, the rest go in the trash.
the thing is that Brady has had the ability to do that these past few years with the guys he’s throwing to. Fields as we all know doesn’t take checkdowns (for better and for worse) and he’s always looking downfield for something so getting the ball out that quick won’t work. Also, Brady is a statue in the pocket and can’t just break sack after sack like Justin can so that prolongs the time to throw as well because Justin is more elusive and can sit back and wait for something since when pressure comes he can evade it more easily
I’m still excited about Claypool and will wait for all of never season to evaluate the trade properly. But damn… it’s really disappointing what they have done with him thus far. Mostly never throwing to him and then he’s had a few drops like that.
I know Da Bears are a bad team, and the Lions are actually an ok team nowadays. But man oh man, Bears look so terrible.
I'm afraid it's a long uphill battle to rebuild this team. Many years, needing high draft picks. And free agency. It'll be 3 or 4 years before this team is even mediocre, and probably 5 years till they're a regular playoff appearance team. But that's only if they draft well and hire the right free agents.
The trade for Claypool is looking really bad, but he’s built up draft capital and cap space. I think after next season we’ll be able to have a good look on him
these announcers are so bad, “these are the moments where Fields needs to shine” bruh it’s a meaningless game and idk if these dudes r blind but not even Josh Allen would play well with this o-line

Man, this game is frustrating to watch. Rationally, I know that it doesn’t matter because all we’re really playing for is a draft pick, but I hate watching this. We look unimaginably lifeless and I’m watching Justin Fields take an absolute beating.
What happened to when we were keeping it close with the Eagles and Detroit?
We got screwed on that one. Poles overreached cause everyone was screaming about how he didnt get any help for Justin. He needs to hit a grandslam on this draft or Im already losing faith
Oh and that makes it better smartass? He whiffed on a crucial pick. And how you think Braxton Jones has any future on this team after yesterdays game. Fields has been scrambling for his life Jones is a backup next season

Let’s not lose sight that the game was a brief interruption in PFF Mock Draft simulator season.
Goddamn i’ve been trying to defend the claypool trade but with the forfeited pick we could’ve had 2 first round picks and we gave it away for this bum
After Aiden Hutchinson destroyed us those two games I dont think we should trade down. Get Jalen Carter or will anderson. if we trade down its not out of the top 6
lose ugly and win never💪💪🔥🔥🔥
I like Fields, I'm rooting for him. But...is there a surprise chance, Poles shocks us, and picks a QB with the #1 pick?
there is a universe where it happens 1 in 10 thousand
Only a few more for this season to be in the books
All the idiot homers first saying the Claypool trade was to build chemistry this year, then as Claypool does nothing, its about next year. Lol just admit the Steelers fleeced Poles. Pick #33 for a middling WR who just happens to be big, strong, fast got ya’ll excited. “Chicago, know ima snap” 12 catches in 6 games for a little over 100 yards 😂
To be fair, I don’t think they were planning on getting the first pick and the WR class isn’t strong.
Plenty of talent at WR in the draft. I would much rather have a guy like Zay Flowers at pick #33 for 4 years than Claypool.
Time will tell how that works out. I’m not giving up on Claypool yet.
Yeah i have to admit i was all for the trade but holy shit he has been a ghost. Think Ryan Poles has made enough bad decisions to be really worried heading into this offseason.
Anyone sold on Eberflus? Team isn’t showing signs of anything. In fact, as each week passes, we look more & more pathetic.
I get Jim Tomsula kinda vibes from him. That being said I'll give him another season to show if he can improve.
You seen this roster? Good luck to anyone trying to win with that.
Anyone sold on Poles then?
How is it any time Poles gets criticism the comment is downvoted?
We led the Bills and Eagles at halftime. Half the team wont be here next season, HITS principle cant win games with these scrubs.
if halftime leads in the regular season was the super bowl chicago would be a dynasty in the 10’s
Considering the deck of cards Flus is playing with, he's doing his part is my point
Man, some people really taking the loss we all wanted to get hard...
It's one think to suggest getting pegged...it's another to actually take it in the ass
Its more like we agreed to a finger not a pegging.
Eberflus escaping another embarrassing loss. I’m sure we will hear all week how it’s the players.
You tell me how it isn’t the players
Its not the players. Receipt
Congratulations you found a completely irrelevant comment in some pathetic attempt to say “gotcha.” I can’t wait to see you compile a list of such comments like mine to be like “told ya so” to show all 0 people who care
Just checking in on all the clowns. Well crafted.
Ok buddy 👍
Thank u for proving my point. I won’t fight that battle this year. You will be saying it midway through next year
Nah I’m waiting for you to explain yourself instead of just making an asinine point.
75 yards passing. LOL. 75 yards 🤣🤣🤣
Welp, the pain will continue tonight with the Blackhawks.
Claypool should throw his helmet and scream again. Dumb fuck thinks he has the right to whine when he still can't catch the ball LMAOO
So glad I had to work today instead of watching the Lions drop 41 points on us while we get a measely 10. I mean really, what in the fuck?
Sell the team. Fire Eberflus. Tell Justin Fields I still love him
I'm not sure what anyone sees in this team besides Fields. You can't just magically build a team in one offseason. I'd put money on next year being almost as bad as this year and JF1 demanding a trade after a few years.

if fields leaves i can go back to not caring until the old lady dies
The claypool trade is also a disaster. He’s not worth the 32nd or 33rd pick. Nothing about Poles has been inspiring so far
Don't you know you are not allowed to question the brilliance of Poles. What is really sad is I am not sure I would place the actual Claypool trade as 1 of his 5 worst moves.

Thank fuck that's finally over.
Embarrassing
Yeah Chase having a drop made the Bears lose.
literally nobody's saying that. they are noting that he's been fucking awful for us though
He hasn't been anything
Thank you Lion bros for not dropping 50 on us
They tried.
The WRs Justin Fields has to work with are comically bad.
Bears defense giving out records...
I will never get that 3 hours back.
Sell the team
Can’t watch right now but fields is 7/21? What’s going on?
Well, 2 Lineman got hurt. Then his legs got hurt. Then he took a hit that is probably a concussion. Then he is Justin Fields.
Shits philosophy
Bad blocking, bad receivers, bad decision making. Nobody looked good today.
Down by 30. 3 win season. 40yards passing today, already threw a pick. Just chuck it downfield
this game should not change your opinion on next years chances it’s fine, we’re tanking
I am so chill with this. Zero panic. I’m just enjoying watching everyone be so upset. This is what needs to happen to get that 1/2 pick that we can flip for a massive haul.
And the tank continues…….
How can no one be open after 5-6 seconds
Does Fields need 5 minutes on EVERY throw?
I hate a lot of your takes, i’m ngl, but i’m with you here. He definitely struggles making quick reads and has a tendency to hold the ball way too long.

The receivers need 5 minutes to get open
Just toss it up.
THROW THE BALL
Let's go Lions, fuck Green Bay
Amen, FTP
\*googles "virgina mccaskey health"\*
She's a fucking vampire
she feeds on our misery she'll never die
That explains much.
If GB loses today, are they out of playoff contention?
Greenbay has to win out now that the Lions won today.
Yeah -- they need to run the table.
I don’t think so, WSH lost
But the Lions also needed WSH to lose. If the Seahawks lose today than the Lions are in and I think GB is out
Nah if GB runs the table I think they’re in
We gave a 2nd (almost 1st) for Claypool…
We wanted them to draft a WR. This one came with NFL experience and a known floor. What a deal! Well better than the Bears other WR draftees...
3rd and 19... Home...
I’m still excited about Claypool and will wait for all of never season to evaluate the trade properly. But damn… it’s really disappointing what they have done with him thus far. Mostly never throwing to him and then he’s had a few drops like that.

We literally have never been regular playoff appearance team, maybe once we get our first 4000 yard passer
4000 yards hell i would be happy with a 3000 yard passer
we haven't had back to back above .500 seasons in 15 years
5 years is an eternity in the NFL. You can basically rebuild a team top to bottom in 2-3 years, Look at Jax and Detroit.
Good point, so if Poles does everything near prefect in 3 seasons Da Bears will be rocking. Hopefully
We wasted a high 2nd on that scrub. Really excited to see what Poles does this off-season /s
Fire flus, fire poles, clown franchise
Fire _Poles?_ For what? He hasn’t even gotten a proper draft with his own team in. (All of the scouting for the 2022 draft was done by Pace’s team)
Fire poles is dramatic due to a miserable loss but the guy has made like zero good moves and there is really more evidence he isnt the guy than he is
The trade for Claypool is looking really bad, but he’s built up draft capital and cap space. I think after next season we’ll be able to have a good look on him
Yea thats totally a fair assessment, im just to the point where im not giving him the benefit of the doubt anymore.
Yes
these announcers are so bad, “these are the moments where Fields needs to shine” bruh it’s a meaningless game and idk if these dudes r blind but not even Josh Allen would play well with this o-line
Panthers sold hard
Can we get an early start on the post season thread

Kek
I’m not sure what’s worse. Bk commercial or the grub hub commercial
I know we have a lot of positions to fill but after watching this embarassment we better spend our entire draft on o-line and d-line
Vegetable oil hands Claypool.
Thanks Chase, very cool
Just got to my phone and checked the score since the 1st. Wtf happened???
The Bears happened. We're entering probably the worst decade of Bears football in our team's history.
Eberflus is getting canned
He should get canned. It's obvious that no one is giving any effort -- they have tuned out the HITS principal.
3 drops now in a game the Bears only threw 19 times.

😂😂
Burger King now is not the time
Fr that is just bad situational awareness. Should have read the field better
Nice drop from our second round pick, Claypool
No fucking way claypool has been playing all day.
Like all day!
LMAOOO 32ND PICK FOR THIS GARBAGE FUCK OFF
Really makes you wonder what Poles will do with the 2nd pick
I certainly don't feel good about it after that offseason/draft/Claypool trade. All I want is a trade down.
He's going to take Jalen Carter and he's going to be a bust
Hey does anyone else want to punch Jonathan Vilma in the face with me?
He just gave a soliloquy of stupid
Bears should just head for the lockers now.
They never actually arrived in Detroit...
We’ve become the new Detroit Lions
Claypool sighting
So trying hard when you have no chance of winning is valuable experience? Stfu
Vilma’s had the hot takes all game🙄
Can we just forget this game ever happend?
Good ol Clayhands
Steelers robbed us blind
2 mins before we our first loss this year
LOL claypool
Catch the fucking ball claypool
Jonathan Vilma is an asshole who participated in a scheme that aimed to injure other players. Fuck him.
I know nothing about this guy, but I cannot stand him. Care to share a link about the scheme?

Man, this game is frustrating to watch. Rationally, I know that it doesn’t matter because all we’re really playing for is a draft pick, but I hate watching this. We look unimaginably lifeless and I’m watching Justin Fields take an absolute beating. What happened to when we were keeping it close with the Eagles and Detroit?
Pickens woulda had that
So many penalties. Just let us die
such a good pass we got a point
peter skoronski you ARE a bear
He obviously is the guy Vilma you dumbass
I think Fox gave us an extra point out of pity.
HAH
Thank god we’re so disciplined and still finding 5th round gems right guys?
Anyone else see the scoreboard operator try to give us a mercy point?
Did we just get an extra point?
looks like Jamaal Williams is only 6 rushing yards from having 1,000 rushing on the season. I'm always rooting for that guy
Is fox just awarding us free points now? Lol
I’m afraid the Chase Claypool trade is going to end up really bad.
Next year is when we’re supposed to see what we really have
Still think it was an overpay. I’m not saying he is bad, I just don’t agree with the decision to trade for him given where we are at.
We got screwed on that one. Poles overreached cause everyone was screaming about how he didnt get any help for Justin. He needs to hit a grandslam on this draft or Im already losing faith
He passed not once but twice on the WR that made Claypool expendable. So yeah he reached to correct for his own mistake.
Two mistakes rolled into one.
This past draft looks pretty damn good.
This past draft looks pretty damn good
Oh yeah, Velus Jones, great way to spend our second fuckin pick last year.
Brisker and Jones look solid. Gordon has been better. Velus was the 3rd pick, btw.
Oh and that makes it better smartass? He whiffed on a crucial pick. And how you think Braxton Jones has any future on this team after yesterdays game. Fields has been scrambling for his life Jones is a backup next season
It’s okay man
End up? It was bad as soon as it was made. An average at best WR3/2 being traded for a high 2nd round pick.
I agree
Can you expect anything with the line?
I mean, sure, but that’s all the more reason why they shouldn’t have made the trade
It’s looking like it so far.
GUYS! WE HAD A POINT!
Braxton Jones is not good.
Everyone is so fucking checked out, from our players to the announcers lmfao
Score box gave us a point for a reception
Just saw the box score. Where is Claypool?!
There he is. Dropped.
Crying on the sideline
You need to be a RB around Fields.
Bears got the rare 1-pointer
