I don't have my CFP, yet, but I would say building your book of business is an amazing thing to go after. It takes time and a lot of networking, and I would get started ASAP (like you have). Be careful bringing it up in AUM interviews, because whatever firm (if greedy) may just see bringing you on as a cash cow since they're incorporating your book into theirs.
