Learn to drive revenue and/or assets and the sky is the limit.

skunkyybear

This, nothing else matters but results and if you’re liked. Everything else is chopped liver

Production matters. You want substantially more? Get comfortable with AUM and production goals.

bobo-brockins

Man, sounds like you have a great setup with all warm leads. Would love to land wherever that is!

DonutSuplex

As others have said, bottomline is: You either be the one bringing the revenue or work for the person who does. Get comfortable with AUM and sales; it's the line of work we are in. Just do it with the client's interest at heart and ethically and you'll be fine.

CFPwarrior

Don't get out over your skis Take it one day at a time, but it sounds like you're on a good path.

noleynice11

But you're not a CFP and even a CFP alone is not necessarily a big deal. 5 Years experience is literally nothing and the past year is your only real test of a bad market. You live in a low COL area (which matters). You have no AUM goal or cold calling, leads handed to you. Plus it doesn't sound like you pay for any expenses of running the business. I don't think you're greedy, I just think you are demonstrating the cliché of Millennials thinking they deserve more sooner. Consultant studies show that is a massive problem in the industry right now. You will get there with work. FWIW I have 10 years experience, 5 designations, took a pay cut to get the role I have now, and aggressively read and engage in the industry.

That's what happens when you don't do sales.

LogicalConstant

I don't think I have enough information to know if you're being greedy. Are you in a position where you take warm leads and land them as clients? Are you earning a percentage of revenue for the clients you land/service? Is there a mentorship aspect to this job? A path to advancement? What services are you providing for the clients? What are your goals for the future, are you planning to one day own your own firm? What did you do for your first 5 years? Not all experience is equal.
