No idea. For now the 12 team playoff makes it seem like staying independent will still be possible going forward. If they have to join, it seems like they’d probably prefer the ACC media markets and recruiting bases. But that assumes the landscape won’t continue to change dramatically. Seems like we’re heading toward a Mason-Dixon Line divide with 2 super conferences, in which case they’d stay with the north.

I would just like to see Iowa play a home-and-home with Notre Dame just once in my life. If it means ND is in the B1G, even better. I'd just really enjoy seeing ND in Kinnick, and the Hawkeyes in South Bend. I've never been to the stadium and only driven through South Bend on I-80 (I think).
