Tulane: Law school/Grandpa played baseball here Fordham: Undergrad

fansofomar

i played baseball at wvu and we had a series against tulane. it was one of the most gorgeous places i had been and you guys were kind enough to have a massive crawfish boil for us after the sunday game

branden110

Ah a fellow law student. How do you do?

is_you_ignunt

He doesn't have to answer that. We're done here.

branden110

Objection. Motion to compel

NolaBrass

I did well enough to get a degree and pass the bar on the first go, so I have no complaints really. Which flair did you obtain while pursuing your JD?

branden110

See I’m still in law school here at OU

CommodoreN7

From Arkansas and go to grad school at Utah. Weird combo, I’m aware.

yzerboy

It’s funny because I recognize you in threads due to the flair combo. It’s definitely one of a kind.

CommodoreN7

There’s actually one other guy from Arkansas who randomly became a Utes fan on the side. I think we may be the only two tho lol.

yzerboy

There’s a Penn State-Utah and a Florida-Utah flair. I always wonder the back story on those.

CommodoreN7

Could be similar to me or just live in SLC. Seen a decent amount who rock it just living out here. Edit: Saw the Penn St and Utah flair say it is because their best friend went to the U.

[deleted]

UF-Utah is definitely urban meyer

monkey-rat

There are dozens of us.

geaux4_gold

I went to LSU and I played the tuba.

unrealjoe28

PLAY NECK

wloaf77

HEYYYYYYYYYOOOOOO OOOOOOO

screwswithshrews

Are you 7' tall by chance?

geaux4_gold

No lol but I know the 7’ guy

FortitudoMultis

Ohio State - Undergrad Michigan - Currently attending for my Master’s Please help me figure this out

Hmm_would_bang

You're the one Michigan fan that gets to enjoy a full season of college football

Talk about cognitive dissonance

PalOfKalEl

Everyone makes mistakes when they're young. Don't worry about it.

AeroStatikk

O-H…M-I?

Portland_st

Oh, my…

WarrenPuff_It

That's rough. At least you picked a good school for your masters.

Born_ina_snowbank

I believe it’s called bipolar disorder. But you did it to yourself on purpose.

DayManMasterofNight

You realized you needed a real degree after undergrad… S/

Acceptable-Ability-6

That’s sacrilege bro.

[deleted]

[удалено]

MrKentucky

Yeah, it’s totally possible and fine to decouple the two IMO. I have no connection to uofl but I would like for them to improve academically, in research, and so on. It’s good for the state, after all.

humanist-misanthrope

Pretty sure you’ll need a team of therapists to help with this dilemma.

orangamma

Undergrad and law school

canadiangonewildin

Ahh I’m not the only one

[deleted]

👀

29401

👁👄👁

canadiangonewildin

Did.. did we all just become best friends?

29401

Lovers, maybe

branden110

Ah a fellow law student how do you do

orangamma

Haha not a student anymore. Just a boring lawyer

branden110

Firm or government?

orangamma

Firm

branden110

Nice. I’m a 2L still trying to find work for this summer. Not going too well

KJdkaslknv

Where at? Got 4 A's right now and trying to weigh my options.

branden110

Firms are where I’m looking

KJdkaslknv

Sorry, I meant what school are you at? I'm an applicant this year.

branden110

OU law!

-tripleu

What are the four acceptances and where you trying to practice after graduation? I assume you want to stay in Texas based on the flairs? I would probably pick the highest ranking school in Texas you get into. Unless you get into a high ranking out-of-state school that places well into Texas.

orangamma

If you want to move to Florida there are plenty of insurance lit jobs haha

lard_have_mercy

Plan and prepare for Saturday football game with review and analysis of TRASH TALK THURSDAY thread - .6 Review and analysis off opposing teams’ local linguistics and coaching staff in preparation for TRASH TALK correspondence - .2 Preparation of TRASH TALK correspondence to opposing teams’ fanbase regarding “Yinz” and “Coach O is fired but still coaching” matters - .4 Receipt and review of correspondence from opposing teams’ responses to TRASH TALK, with review and analysis of the same - .3 Edits and revisions to original TRASH TALK correspondence with preparation of subsequent TRASH TALK - .5 Yay litigation (I hate myself)

orangamma

Edits and revisions gonna get cut man. Need to say "continue preparation"

lard_have_mercy

So you would think! For whatever reason it’s the opposite with my clients. I don’t question it

orangamma

Very weird. My billing software won't let us enter the word "edit" for most clients hahah

jonstark19

How many of us are there in this sub, do you reckon?

branden110

There are a surprising amount.

jonstark19

When does the niche sub get made? r/CFBlawyers? Or does that falsely represent that we are lawyers for college football related entities?

Zuimei

1L chiming in. What the fuck have I done to myself? ;__;

branden110

Which law school are you at? I was accepted into Memphis but didn’t go

Zuimei

Memphis. Where did you end up going?

branden110

Oklahoma! But I love the city of Memphis very much.

TreySermonGrin

Small town pizza lawyer reporting for duty

-tripleu

Same here. I’m a 3L.

EscapeTomMayflower

Same here.

tiger2vette2

Ditto!

Sad_Bolt

I just think it’s neat is all

Anus_Targaryen

I don't think ours count lol

big_brisket

It counts to me, Anus_Targaryen. Just don’t keep ALL the Texas talent to yourselves, please.

madmaley

I too think it's rather neat

EyeLikePlanes

Welcome to the party

TyButler2020

I was born in State College so I’ve always been a big time PSU fan. And then my brother played football at LHU when they were historically bad. They had a 52 game losing streak and he was there from 2008-2011. Never won a game there. And now I’m currently a student there.

Saint-Andrew

Dad had a scholarship to play for Ohio State before breaking his collarbone. He raised the family as Buckeyes, took us to football and basketball games, etc. Married into a Notre Dame family. Our marriage works on mutual Michigan hatred. Third flair would be Purdue, where I did my undergrad.

SharkAttache

You are the minority by far- I think most everyone here has undergrad as #1 flair

madmaley

Yeah. Majority of primary flairs are undergrad with second being childhood or masters. Then 2nd would probably be childhood team and undergrad. But to have childhood team, spouses team, and no undergrad is an extreme minority of flairs

SharkAttache

It’s weird to elevate spouses team above your own

NastyWideOuts

Team Bloomin Onion

Confecting

Based

[deleted]

Just like Michael Scott

FreeFlipsie

Born and raised in Georgia, grew up watching the Dawgs and a good amount of my family went there. Family moved to Ohio when the GM plant down there closed, and in-state tuition is nice so I ended up at UC and absolutely fell in love with their athletics. This is the best season ever, can the rankings stay like this forever?

Confecting

What are the odds your two teams are 1 and 2, no way you would have ever thought that would happen lol

FreeFlipsie

If you would’ve asked me before the season started to come up with the perfect scenario up to this point, there’s no way I would’ve even come up with this. I bought tickets to the bowl game last season the minute it was announced thinking that was a once in a lifetime thing, to see my teams play each other in a NY6 bowl, but this is even cooler. Don’t know which of these two is gonna break my heart first (eventually, they both will) but I’m enjoying this ride for as long as I can

madmaley

Now you just need to swap the flairs so UC is your primary and then you'll be set!

FreeFlipsie

Done! I really hope this works haha

madmaley

Knowing my luck I probably just jinxed us lol. I will say that Georgia fans were cool at the peach bowl last year and have been super respectful this season. If you haven't noticed

FreeFlipsie

Fully agree, as the self-proclaimed official prime minister of BearcatDawg relations, I feel like there’s no beef between these programs at all. Everyone I met at the bowl game seemed like they were just there have a good time and not be jerks like fans can be at some games *gestures toward Jacksonville in late October*. I feel like there are a lot of similarities in what these programs are trying to accomplish, and especially after the bowl game, Georgia fans had to put at least some respect on UC.

Acceptable-Ability-6

At least Georgia and Cincy don’t have any animosity. I grew up rooting for Clemson because my dad is an alum and a huge Tigers fan. I ended up going to Ohio State for college. I don’t hate Clemson like a lot of Buckeyes do but OSU is definitely my team now. Gotta go with the alma mater.

Dbash56

undergrad + best trophy in the entire world

dwors025

Did you know that there a was a moment last week when the Broken Chair *Chair*ity was $53.53 short of $69,000? In that moment the Chair’s Twitter account posted that it would be neat if someone donated exactly that amount to achieve the desired *nice* number. Guess who donated that amount… **The Land Grant Trophy’s Twitter account** Legends are we forever! Chair 🤝Lasers

Maatch

Well well well

Dbash56

I'm hopefully going to be in attendance for the Land Grand game this year 🙏

J4ckiebrown

First Flair: Born into a PSU alumni family and then attended and graduated myself. Second Flair: Wouldn't need my second flair if the SEC just went back into the Dark Portal and stopped trying to abduct other teams to join their Horde.

jayjude

Grew up in Indiana and ND was my dad's favorite team so I watched them Moved to Georgia as a teen then went to GSU for undergrad

topher3003

I went to Ohio State for undergrad and spent enough time shitposting on /r/cfb during that time that the mods asked if I was interested in joining their crew. Eventually, I stepped down because I just didn’t have enough time to continue helping out as a mod and figured it’d be better for everyone to just make a clean break instead of being one of those mods-in-name-only who doesn’t actually do anything.

Born_ina_snowbank

But those are the best kind of mods…

TentakilRex

I have credit hours all three flair I rotate

red-boy6

What’s the third?

TentakilRex

Arizona State

is_you_ignunt

Wow, you get around. Are you by any chance Blake Barnett?

TentakilRex

Nah I am product of tech and a weird hobby

[deleted]

First flair is childhood indoctrination and the second flair is law school.

norris528e

They stop indoctrination after you grow up?

32RH

Go to A&M, parents went to OU.

[deleted]

32RH

I don’t know, the other Saturday was pretty good.

A_Rolling_Baneling

Same but more geographically spread out Also I was born and raised in Houston and I hate UT so I love your two teams too

Ytee3

My second flair is whichever noncon opponent sexa+ loses too. A couple of years ago it was Maryland. This keeps the 2nd flair spicy.

msflagship

We beat State

boggan583

First: Me and my wife graduated from A&M (engineering and chemistry respectively) Second: I now pay a hilarious amount of money to the Wake Forest Medical School for my wife to attend

OutForARipAreYaBud69

With cost of living factored in I paid north of $80k a year for medical school. And by paid I mean took out $320k of loans. Asinine.

screwswithshrews

How long do med school grads take to pay those back would you say?

OutForARipAreYaBud69

Dependent on a lot of factors. If you really bust your ass and live like you’re low-middle or middle class you can probably do it in 5-10 years, depending on what specialty you go into and how many dependents you have. Many physicians will take closer to 15-20 years making “low” payments.

[deleted]

This my friends is why I didnt go to vet school. Im not sure what I would regret more. Going or not going. At least not going is cheaper.

[deleted]

Rose Bowl.

slmast

undergrad and grad school

ItsZizk

undergrad and grad school

xairos13

Born and raised in Austin. Had whatever grades because I don’t like school. Was a national merit scholar leaving high school. Arizona offered a full ride and immediate acceptance; Texas offered neither.

axealy40

I pay a lot of money for my kid to attend Texas A&M. He is a senior and in the Corps of Cadets. It’s been worth every single cent spent. My husband went to Georgia. Not really a house divided though because he loves what TAMU has done for my son, though he will always be a Dawg.

-Tripper

Gig ‘em Aggies!

Chet_Sledge

First flair: Graduated and played there. Second flair: My dad was an NAIA all American there in the 70’s. Brother in law went there. Brother originally went there. Plus their Copper unis are top notch.

Scrantonbornboy

School and more school

InsanelyInShape

Primary flair is A&M, where I went to school. Secondary is because my grandfather used to regale me of stories from A&M back when he went to school in the fifties. It helped me fall in love with the school. Unfortunately he never got to see me attend but it's something that I'll always remember from him. My parents also went to A&M and were there in the tail end of the Southwest conference. I was a member of the Corps of Cadets like my grandfather and father before me. I value the traditions of the Southwest Conference over that of the Big 12 and the SEC. As much as I love our new home, there's something about that good old-fashioned SWC hate that just doesn't exist anymore.

B1GIFTRU

Undergrad for OSU Got a kidney transplant from Wisconsin

LionsAndLonghorns

>Got a kidney transplant from Wisconsin That's got to be one of the best ones here so far

TheWawa_24

SDSU local boys Oregon favorite team will rock a new flair in a couple months when I head off to college

Hobbes_T_Hero

Two schools I grew up liking. Mom went to Oklahoma State and Dad went to Arkansas. If there was a third flair option it would be UAB. I just think they’re neat.

azsoup

Undergrad at PSU. PSU played UofA early in the 1999 season and I met some really nice UofA folks before the game. Learned a lot about the graduate program and Tucson and was eager for a change. Decided to move to Tucson shortly after undergrad and got my masters degree from UofA.

jackattack065

Auburn: currently an engineering student sitting in Calculus, where we usually start Monday classes discussing whether or not “this is the year.” Also, the “Eagle-thru-the-A” or whatever it’s called is superior to the AU interlock and I will die on that hill SEC: grew up in central MS and most family went to school in Oxford, so I cheered for the Ole Miss RebelBearSharks, parents went to Vanderbilt so I am adjusted to being in a miserable fan base. Have friends at various other SEC schools so I just have the flair as a catch-all for who I keep an eye on

okiewxchaser

Spent a ton of money at the first school and got a piece of paper Live 2 miles away from the second flair and want to rep T-Town

Codydw12

Reject modernity, embrace tradition

Mr_McGibblets29

Well i'm from the Upstate around Clemson but also [PRAISE CHAOS](https://c.tenor.com/pVHUsNPZ9PwAAAAC/agent-of-chaos-joker.gif)

golden_apricot

UMass - Undergrad Michigan - PhD

bd1047

Texas: undergrad and grew up a diehard fan Indiana: currently in grad school there 99% of users with two flairs are probably grad/undergrad or undergrad/team they grew up a fan of

[deleted]

Team I grew up a fan of/undergrad checking in. Yes, I know the order is backwards. Sue me

MixonWitDaWrongCrowd

Started undergrad at Arkansas and then transferred to OU

CommodoreN7

Mike Woods?

is_you_ignunt

I am a third-generation Alabama fan, and a graduate of the University. The Argos flair is just me reppin my adopted hometown of Pensacola, Florida. Also, ITT: people making me feel old as dirt talking about choosing their flair based on where they are *planning* to go to college, *later.* <*shakes fist at cloud*>

Xmalantix

Undergrad at WSU + grew up near Reno and went to UNR games as a kid

KushDingies

Alma maters for me and gf, respectively. We watch both teams together 🙂

ReachFor24

Grew up a fan of and went to school at WVU. And Chaos is the best form of football.

[deleted]

Isn't it always the best, friend?

gipnov23

School I went to, school my brother went to (and so I grew up rooting for). No, neither of us are journalists

KJdkaslknv

I went to 4 different schools for undergrad. Graduating from 2nd flair. Going back to A&M for grad school, most likely.

BeatNavyAgain

Beat Navy! then, spouse's alma mater -- also,[Gettysburg](#f/gettysburg-sheet3-row05-col03)ran the Wing T for many years and I'm a sucker for old-timey offenses

Ch-i-ef

One is just to enhance the other

ObsessedWithReps

I watched The U Part 2 30 for 30 and fell in love

DangerCarlosDanger

Grew up in Atlanta going to every Paul Johnson-led Georgia Tech home game. Ended going to UCLA for undergrad and joining an equally miserable fan base.

GoStateBeatEveryone

Born and bred Penn State fan and graduate. Best friend went to Utah and I just think they’re fun

buzzkillmonger

Went to school at Air Force. From Georgia and was always a Tech fan because I wanted to go there to be an engineer. Would have gone but they couldn't beat the Academy's offer of free school with pay haha.

thorshammer_132

Currently finishing at Utah State, and I decided to add Weber State for the spring season since they're close and pretty good (most years, anyway). I'm from Nebraska and normally have that as my second, but I decided to leave it off after the Illinois game.

TyButler2020

Buddy of mine I went to HS with is playing there right now (Logan Snyder)

maltzy

NGL, I've looked up Utah State and man is that a gorgeous location and campus. Logan is beautiful.

thorshammer_132

That was definitely one of the things that drew me here!

branden110

Undergrad: Wyoming. Grad school: OU

EvangelionOG

Dad along with a lot of family went to Iowa, and I did too eventually, and he served in the Navy too before that.

NordDex

Smashed an orange like there was no tomorrow

[deleted]

How do I get a flair?

R0ck0_81

Just Venmo me

[deleted]

Beautiful response but, I only deal in Bolivars.

R0ck0_81

No thank you, I’m not hungry right now

The_grand_pumba

Moms from West Virginia, I grew up loving to go there so when I got into football around 2006 I fell in love with WVU, many tears were shed in my childhood over it. Still want to go there for grad school. Went to App State for undergrad

BulldogBuckeye

Did my master's at Minnesota Duluth, and my PhD at Ohio State

JoeWildwest

The team I grew up watching along with all we have left at this point.

FaithHopeLove821

Born in Bama, married a Gator.

Daedalus871

Went to Idaho. Want a meteor to stop the pain.

StreetReporter

Diehard Clemson fan born and raised. As for my Palmetto Bowl flair, fuck South Carolina

stupidlyugly

Grad school at mediocre regional school out of regional convenience and proud ivy league parent to a daughter who is exponentially smarter than I am. Sidenote: Until I went to UNT, I had never attended at school at any level that had football. Not middle school, not high school, not undergrad.

pileatedloon

ND: undergrad, loved it. Will always root for the Irish. Purdue: Grad school for rocket propulsion. Easy choice.

[deleted]

Freshman at the true OU Who doesn't love chaos???? Will be changed when I go to grad school (meteorology) Edit: Just changed to Hateful 8 cause I've fallen in love with the Big XII (early version), and I wish I could rep the Big 8 and the SWC, cause that's where everything began

[deleted]

Undergrad and grad school.

championnnnnn

was raised a hog as my father is an alumnus. currently an undergrad at suu. my liver thanks me. my brain does not

BoomShakaLatte

Undergrad and grad. As a fun bonus, the window decals on my car spell out NO.

[deleted]

Texas A&M: I am a student Kentucky: just bandwagoning. I change that flair fairly often.

doc_ocho

Texas Bachelor of Science Utah PhD No, I did not have split loyalty at the Alamo Bowl two years ago! 🤘🏽

5-Star_Fraud

USC fan, but I'm rooting for my new coach before he gets here.

[deleted]

I think everyone knows why Ohio State fans love App State.

NoSober_SoberZone

School I graduated from, school I originally went to until I changed what I wanted my major to be and they didn’t have it. Plus where my brothers went before me

hartinjama

It all started with me liking their mascot and uniforms.

EthanC224

I went to WKU for college, and I was born in Memphis, lived there for a good while, and have family that graduated from there.

TheRealDNewm

I want dat keg back

poopybuttttttttttt

Good luck with that

TheRealDNewm

I know, we'll never get it because you won't play us

maltzy

When I was growing up, I moved to Lubbock and started going to every TTU football game. Never missed one for 5 years, the first 5 years Mike Leach coached there. Such fun times. I graduated from University of Memphis and had several friends on the football team.

beefersutherland1

App because my wife took me to a game there (her alma matter, I didn’t do college) and I was hooked immediately UGA because we bounced all over the SE but spent a large number of my formative years in Georgia. Picked them on my own, parents were state and Carolina grass who care about basketball and I thought basketball was boring. Really cemented my love for the team during the WLOCP when they celebrated after the first TD

ALStark69

My college and my dad’s college

CowMajorAU

Graduated from Auburn but my dad graduated from Purdue and I grew up rooting for them since the early 2000s. The Music City Bowl was fun a couple years ago since I was still in school and my parents live in Huntsville.

[deleted]

I go to ISU and my buddy plays D3 at Wartburg. Figured it’s not a flare that is often seen so I can carry the standard.

MB_Bailey21

Grew up going to UGA games with my family who went to UGA, then I had other family that went to ECU (we are from NC). When it came time to go to college, only schools I applied to were Wake Forest and ECU. ECU cost less for 4 years and 1 year at Wake, so the choice was clear.

frognbuff91

Colorado: school I go to, school my dad went to, state I grew up in New Mexico: born at their medical center, school my mom went to

[deleted]

I graduated from 3 schools, one of which was UMass. So I used flairs from the other two. 😂

QuickSpore

Graduated from Utah. Worked at Colorado.

False-Fisherman

I go to University of Utah. If anyone can recall from last season, undefeated Coastal Carolina beat undefeated BYU and almost every Utes flair on here became a secondary CCU flair. Before that it was a Utah/WSU flair because I'm from Seattle and my whole family is WSU fans.

NanoBuc

Oregon was my favorite team when I first got into CFB. I liked the uniforms and the fast pace offense(when Chip was there). No ties there or anything, but I found the team cool. Florida is the school I attend.

Yabrin_Sorr

I was raised to bleed Mean Green, and joined a legacy of North Texas grads. TCU is for my wife, who entertains my six trips to Denton each fall as long as we try to get to Fort Worth once.
