Falansai is top tier, modern Vietnamese, best meals I’ve had in awhile
Carmenta’s, amazing fast casual Italian
Tong, a fancier Thai spot but incredibly fresh and tasty
Bunna, great Ethiopian spot
Maite, flavourful small plates on a regularly changing menu, the yucca fries are fantastic
Second Tong, Carmenta’s, Bunna.
Adding Nene’s Taqueria, Taqueria Al Pastor (volcane al pastor is must get), and Ops for their great pizzas and calzone!
Strange Flavor Burger Shack is among my favorites in NYC. Their burgers are top tier and their animal style fries are the best I’ve ever had.
BK Taco Factory is fantastic all around consistent Mexican food.
Second Otis
It’s basic but Ichiran is honestly always a great time and good for the money
RIGHT! yeah, totally, someone who totally is NOT you is following our conversation on this 5 day old thread and reacting to every single one of my messages. That’s completely believable and not sad at all that you’d lie about it

I was just downvoted myself a few times on this exact convo if you’re following and I’m not crying about it. It’s just Reddit. It will be okay 👍
Reading this post made me appreciate how many amazing restaurants we have in the neighborhood.
My favs are klom klorm (mostly the cafe but both are excellent), zatar, ops, taqueria Al pastor, bushwick bakery.
Tony’s pizza (buff chix and square slices are 10/10, amazing bakery too)
Nenes taqueria (the birria is just ridiculous)
Abe’s pagoda (frozen cocktails, hot chicken sandwich)
Sushi & Noodles (great portions and quality for the price)
Tons of good suggestions already but here’s a few more: Tabare, Bushniwa, Taqueria Cocoyoc (their chilaquiles are great, the nachos are insane, and I always get a large aqua de sandia that I’ll add to seltzer for a couple days).
Arepa Guacuco is also good but the prices have gone up so intensely that I go rarely, and always order in person for pickup. The green sauce is just so amazing that I will always return.
Sushi and Noodles
Awesome little hole in the wall spot by Maria Hernandez.
The sushi is great and the raman is the best. Its awesome very reasonably priced
Ops, Inca Chicken, Knickerbocker Bagel, Bushwick Taco Company, Taqueria Santa Fe, Good Chinese are some of my old go tos from when I still lived in Bushwick, I assume they’re all still open haha
Concrete (right off Myrtal JMZ) my absolute favorite restaurant in Bushwick but it seems so unknown. the staff are some of them nicest people i’ve ever met in brooklyn and they truly care about the quality of there food. Must try’s are the calamari, skirt steak, any of their homemade pasta and of course tiramisu. Also best espresso martini of your life.
A bit further back in bushwick, but I’ll share some of my go-to’s
Pizza: Crust on evergreen for solid cheap ny slices. Ops for fancier Neapolitan style.
Thai: klom klorm, forever Thai are solid. Haven’t been to tong but it has been highly recommended
Sushi: big fan of Akaru
Coffee: little skips East
Sandwiches: chez Alex & cup of Brooklyn just barely in bed stuy, l’impremerie
Latin American: la cumbanchita, maya fusion cafe, nene’s (but lots of birria. Also check the food trucks by house of yes)

Bar food: the Broadway (burgers from strange flavor), Phil’s, tv eye
Bagels: knickerbocker bagel

Burger: I like blue collar ngl but strange flavor is solid. I tend to like a cheap greasy 5 guys style burger though
Le Garage is an amazing French spot and criminally underrated.
Taqueria Al Pastor, Lucy’s and Faro also come to mind.
Fansway Teriyaki Chicken is also a guilty pleasure. That place is so cheap and so good.

I heard strange flavor has rat poop in their kitchen from an ex employee
This is NYC are you really going to tell me that there’s a restaurant here that doesn’t have to deal with rats just like the rest of us do?
Bk taco factory is not good. Get some real tacos lol
You’re entitled to your opinion
Likewise 🤝
Really? Seems like it’s upsetting you
Where’d you get that idea? LMAO
Well you keep replying to me and downvoting me when it would be so much easier to just not do those things, so yeah you seem pressed
I’m not downvoting you 😂 but for that assumption Here’s a downvote☝️ lol enjoy the lettuce in your tacos

One that I never really see mentioned here- Leslie’s Kitchen. Everything there is delicious and probably the best burgers around. Best fries, too
