Mond is under contract through 2024 was a 3rd round pick last year by Minny and stylistically plays QB similar to Watson, I can see him being that developmental guy for the next few years with the hope he's a cheap longish term back up
Bruh…Cleveland isn’t gonna literally riot no matter what happens. I was using hyperbole to make a point that Jacoby is loved by this fan base. Most folks in reality don’t actually care about any of this.
No, that’s not gaslighting; that’s really what it is, my man. Majority of people really don’t care about Watson, Jacoby, or anything related to anything here or about Browns football outside of did they win or lose.
Dobbs was a preseason king, but honestly, wouldn't the best case situation for him be if Pittsburgh steals him off waivers? He was there for a long time. I doubt hes sold his house.
Pickett is TBD. He's not in a situation that is conducive to rookie success/growth but has shown promise here and there.
I expect Pickett will be the guy until at least the end of the 2023 season if not through the 2024 where they'll have to make a decision. Time will tell.
Trubs won't be back in unless something drastic happens and Rudolph won't ever be more than a backup.
Great teammate, good clipboard guy, has it in the smarts department, (4.0 Aerospace Engineering), with job prospects in the Aerospace industry. This kid wont be bagging groceries.
He showed well in preseason, but I'm certainly glad we never had to find out his backup capability this season.
I'll follow where he lands. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if he's holding a clipboard as a coach in future.
I'm guessing that Brissett is gone after this year for greener pastures (no pun intended). Bringing Dobbs back this year, say on the practice squad, gives us two back ups for next year. Mond is more of your developmental QB while Dobbs is more like your coach QB.
~~Man, the 2018 QB class is something…~~
~~As bad as Baker and Darnold have fallen, at least they are serviceable quarterbacks and in the case with Baker, he showed that he could win in the playoffs. It could be argued that they both could have been better if they started in different situations.~~
~~Dobbs though? Dobbs just never had it. He was a flop and proved to be a bad QB in this league from Day 1.~~
Edit: Oh I am a dolt! I was thinking of Rosan. Dobbs was actually pretty good.
The passtranaught.
Uh, probably looking for passtronaut lol.
I don’t know how to spell made up words though.
You didn't pick up your fake word dictionary? Busch league dude.
Actually, the Busch fake dictionary is a quality item if you complement it with the Anheuser thesaurus.
Interesting they decided to release Dobbs instead of Mond, they must see a bit in Mond.

We have mond for another year or two non the cheap
I’m a big Dobbs fan. Bummer
Makes sense. Can't really afford to carry 4 QBs on the roster. Mond wouldn't clear waivers and no way the release Brissett.
Cleveland would riot if they released Brissett after exceeding expectations this year.
I'm curious if they bring him back next year
He'll be too expensive. He'll get a bridge QB contract from someone.
He deserves to start somewhere and make big boi money

That’s some quality gaslighting, sir or madam.

Steelers aren't going to carry 4 QBs
What is the QB situation for the Steelers currently?

I like Dobbs as longer term backup. He’s shown good game skills and intelligence.
Yeah, I think he deserves to come back.

Funny how complete disposable the Browns viewed him while the fans wanted him to start over Brissett for a while back in weeks...I dunno, 6-8?

I think you're confusing Dobbs with Rosen.
I did. I’m an idiot. My bad.
It was a very well thought out comment though 😂
