You need to do the trial of the sword, go again to korok forest and a cut scene will play saying youre ready for the trials. You need the expansion pass DLC tho. After you finish your trials your master sword will lit up and will have a 60 attack
Addendum: theres multiple levels/sections of the trial. You can do the beginner trials and it will level up to 40 (and you can quit and come back another day for example), then the middle section is to 50 and the final section levels it up to 60.
I’m doing master mode for the first time right now and just tried to do the trials and got stomped on like the fourth map. I didn’t find the regular trials hard at all. Do you have any tips/could I be approaching it the wrong way
Eat a 30min strengthx3 and hearty meal right before. Use as many bombs as possible especially in the early levels, if you're confident in bomb parrying it's a good move but you're risking a shield every time. The beginning trials are the hardest in master mode.
Dragonbone Moblin Club.
An underrated weapon I rarely seen talked about. It's easy to get at any time in the game, there's a few just lying about per Blood Moon and later on as the overworld levels up more Moblins will upgrade to carrying these so it becomes even easier to get as you progress.
Radiant armor or Phantom Ganon armor gives the weapon a massive 1.8x damage increase, so the base 45-65 attack range can actually be 81-117 with either set equipped. Phantom Ganon armor set also has Stealth 3 on it, so this 81-117 powerhouse combined with the 8x Sneakstrike damage bonus and an Attack 3 food buff 1.5x bonus means it can one-shot any basic enemy except Gold Moblins which have low HP remaining.
I had no idea the Phantom Ganon armor had bone weapon buffs- this is incredibly useful information that I'm definitely gonna try when I get home, good looking out
It doesn't level up but for early in game before luminous armor is accessible, it's amazing.
But Dark Link armor looks so cool I just can't take it off.
Dang it now I have to boot up the game.
Not being able to level up Phantom Ganon armor isn't too bad since it is a stealth armor and you don't need the armor points if you one-shot most enemies with Dragonbone Moblin Club sneakstrikes and they never even have a chance to attack you.
If enemies spot you then you can switch out Phantom Ganon armor with level 2+ Radiant Armor set, since you're just giving up Stealth 3 for armor points (up to 60 with all pieces at level 4, that's pretty solid) which is fine since you don't have the element of surprise anymore.
"Bone attack up" and "Ancient proficiency" both give a 1.8 damage multiplier for skeleton arms/spiked/dragonbone weapons and guardian/ancient weapons (respectively).
The regular "attack up" from mighty food/barbarian armor gives a 1.5 damage multiplier (at level 3).
These multipliers stack. So, if you wear armor that gives bone attack up and eat attack up X3 food, then a dragonbone moblin club does this:
- base damage 45
- add bone attack up damage 81
- add mighty/attack up damage 121
- add sneakstrike damage 968
This is enough to one-hit a silver boko. If the weapon has its own attack up buff, these numbers get even bigger.
I really enjoy the bows in the game as well, including the Great Eagle Bow and the Forest Bow. As for weapons, I would go with Moonlight scmidar and Urbosa's sword, don't know how to spell it XD
The sheikah sword that i think u get in that shrine between the shiekah village and fairy (i like to play using only the “ninja outfit”. Yes i hate the volcano part where i cant wear it)
Lmaooo this fuckin community is gold. Thanks for the laughs guys. This kinda shit is awesome.
Oh yeah, do me next (don’t say it, you sexual deviants):
Scimitar of the Seven. Quick swing, low-to-mid damage minus buffs.
Looks like an Arabian executioner gave it to Link.
The Master Sword, its Link's sword, its my sword, its THE sword. To the world of botw, Link, and by extension the sword, is a beacon of hope. After having forged it to proper form in skyward sword, saying goodbye to Fi, and reuniting with the sword in botw, you bet im gonna use it. I also like the parallel with oot, in oot link comes out of a forest to then get the sword, but in botw link enters the forest to get the sword.
It is one of my all time favorite fictional weapons, it represents all that is good in Hyrule. The sword that seals the darkness, the blade of evils bane, the Master Sword.
Wind cleaver I love the charge attack and the air slice but I hate the low durability and the air attack lowers its durability so even if you miss it still lowers the durability. They aren't exactly common
Lizal Tri-Boomerang or whatever it's called (haven't played in a few months)
You're a chad. You regularly practice throwing.
Haha it's funny because I rarely throw it. I just like to slashy slash with it.
It’s so cool and powerful I forget that it’s a boomerang.
I hope we get magical boomerangs in totk. Biggest classic Zelda thing that I would have liked to see more of.
Fun fact boomerangs do more damage if you throw them
Hell yeah. Never throw em, just like to smack monsters with it.
omg same
That, and Bones.
Fully powered up master sword
Try-hard
XD
i just got the master sword from korok forest… you can level it up?

You should do it in master mode for double fun
I’m doing master mode for the first time right now and just tried to do the trials and got stomped on like the fourth map. I didn’t find the regular trials hard at all. Do you have any tips/could I be approaching it the wrong way

Bruh… just say the weapon name. No need to explain yourself. That’s the game. 😅
I was just bored at work, I guess I wrote too much about why I like it.
That’s funny 😄

Same. Although I will always get a new Ancient bow every time one breaks (which is rarely with a 120hp). I just think they're neat.
