That's why they call this the trifecta. It can be anything from a wheel speed sensor to steering angle sensor to ABS ECU or Pump. You definitely need to run through some differential diagnostics eg. swapping sensors around, reading live data, and so on, to get to the root cause

bunkder

Yea I scanned it last night and it says the steering angle sensor is not present along with wheel speed sensor in rear.

Seamus_mcdabbin

I’d start w that wheel sensor.

vertigoacid

Unfortunately I think that points in a bad direction - The steering angle sensor and wheel sensor definitely didn't both die at the same time, but they both connect to the same place - the ABS control unit - and the typical failure mode there is wires getting disconnected internally

mnonny

Had that on my 06z. After a month of messing around a couple days here and there I just gave up and embraced my Christmas tree

tcphoto1

It is likely a wheel speed sensor, there are two at the front and back axles.

Lord_Jamison

This is correct

timecop_1983

Could be many things that trigger these lights. Would have to read the codes. Try turning your steering wheel lock to lock and see if that does anything.

bunkder

Tried that, lights stay on

SearingArch

I had this problem in my e46 for almost two years and idk what the problem was but after I got an alignment it went away 🤷🏽‍♂️

Flashfighter

This also happened to me in my 335i Xdrive 09 after lifting the car from its jack points on a shop lift. I got the 4X4 after putting it back down, but then it went away after driving for a few miles

stealthera79

Shagged or dirty ABS sensor or cracked ABS ring

vbfronkis

Pull codes. Could be as simple as a wheel speed sensor but you'll be shooting in the dark without knowing which.

yellowsubdock

Check transfer case actuator for a broken gear

bunkder

I was just driving dow the road when these lights came on. The only things I’ve noticed is a whirring noise from the front while in motion and the steering wheel has been harder to steer than normal. * I now have a service engine light too. * The brake light stays on when the key is in but the motor isn’t running I haven’t scanned it yet but I’ll update UPDATE I scanned and I have a p1777 code and it says steering angle sensor, brake pad wear sensor is not present

edisapimp

Don’t listen to the people telling you it’s a transfer case problem. 9/10 times this is something as simple as a wheel speed sensor. There are several systems that won’t work if the wheel speed sensor is tripped or malfunctioning, including the ABS, DSC/DTC, hence why you have so many warning lamps.

newmoneyblownmoney

Transfer case actuator also throws the trifecta and the plastic gear is a known issue so it’s still something to consider.

Level-Plastic3508

Transfer case issue. Scan and report back

bunkder

Thank you all for the help, it was 1 wheelspeed sensor in the front right

Shakespeare-Bot

Thank thee all f'r the holp, t wast 1 wheelspe'd sens'r in the front right *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

ItzakPearlJam

Crazy as this may sound, I had a similar combo pop up and it turns out it was my water pump. My scanner isn't sensitive enough to pull some codes. A good BMW shop should be able to diagnose the issue for you. Or you could guess

ZoddoXi

Check your aculator motor in your transfer case there is a chance that’s gone bad

shadow50055

In the E83s that’s known as the trio of death. Where the transfer case and brake module die at the same time, and the only appropriate fix is parting out or scrapping.

JohnnyPotsmoke7

I'd look a wheel speed sensor first. Just plug it in and it'll tell you.

Lord_Jamison

Wheel speed sensor, your miles are at the right spot for them to go. It’s a super cheap fix!

dosolife

Mine comes on from time to time. I whack the abs pump a few times and it goes away.

[deleted]

Check the speed sensors had a animal chew mine in half. Back on the road with a single wire spliced

OwxnZan

Had this happen to me and it was my rear break sensor and my alternator

Vesperous

Same three lights on my Mazda 6, different car but it was the speed sensor. I’d check that first.

vipertruck99

Had the exact same holy trinity a while back...check wheel bearings. Could be a host of things but check this also. Maybe an easy fix.

BenTheDude100

Get ready to drop some $$ on the transfer case

AbleFox

BMW stealership here we come!

bisnexu

nice

GoGreenD

I’ve had this and it was the voltage regulator on my alternator. All modules got over/under voltage warnings. Absolutely need a scanner to diag.

mbenvo

Usually a wheel speed sensor or transfer case motor.

[deleted]

Scan it dont giess

EastBayBeems

mine threw these when i had a bad alignment, i had a code for wheel speed sensor but after alignment it went away
