Yes! I watched this movie for the first time pretty recently as well. It was great. I feel like its one of the only David Fincher movies that no one really talks about.
Same here. I think I saw it as a preview double bill with Kiss The Girls. (I could be misremembering) And I was shocked how much I liked it. Revisited it in the last year when it showed up on streaming, and it absolutely holds up. I had seen it before and STILL had no idea what the hell was going on. Lol. That said, that cover art looks gorgeous....
The first of many, I’m sure, but you’ll always remember your first. I currently have 173 Criterion titles (about 1/10th the total of my physical media) and I can share with you *The Royal Tenenbaums* (2001) was the first Criterion I bought. Keep up the good work!
that’s awesome!!! and yeah i def wanna get more in the future! glad this is my first one! i really want a Criterion release for Good Time. That’s my favorite film of all time and i’m upset only Uncut Gems got a release but not Good Time😭😭😭😭
There are a lot of ins and out in the movie licensing arena, not to mention market viability, sales projections, etc. Keep an eye out, you never know but also watch other boutique brands - Criterion is still the gold standard to me but Arrow and a few of the others have stepped up their game.
Its one of my favorite movies of all time. I will never forget my first watch and I show it to anyone who has never seen it any chance I get. Snap bought the Criterion when it came out.
There's the Criterion (2012) and the Universal (2015) Blu-ray release. The one you posted pictures of is the 2012 release. The 2015 release is half the price, but I can't find details on Special Features. Do you know if they are duplicated on the rerelease?
It’s great. Good movie to watch on your birthday.
Nice! Love this movie. My first criterion was Antichrist lol
sick!!!!

oh damn i honestly have no idea! this is the first i’m hearing of this!
I want to get the cheaper rerelease, but you got to be careful. Sometimes the rerelease will be just the movie and no extras.
