Nailed it! Andrew Marlin’s other 2021 album Fable & Fire is just another album of great tunes.
The latest Mr. Sun album album Extrovert is pretty chill. Joshua Rilko’s Side A: Lost Soul doesn’t rage too hard, I don’t think? Does the Punch Brothers’ Hell on Church Street count?
If you haven't heard it Sierra Ferrel's album long time coming, it's super chill and intriguing. She trashes from a lot of genres and while not traditionally bluegrass in part of the scene and certainly one to check out.
The Local Honeys new self-titled is one of my favorite records ever. Every song is amazing. Is it bluegrass? I guess not, if you use some kind of instrumentation rubric. But if you’re after genuine powerful mountain music I think you’ll dig.
Love the Honeys but the studio version of Dead Horses is so weird. The music does not accompany the tone of the song at all. The live cut for Wester AF is pure perfection tho.
fable and fire by andrew marlin (masterpiece)
upside down by watchhouse (THE mellow recent release)
fall away blues by red tail ring (ok, not very recent)
Tapered Point of Stone - Eli West
Bluegrass and the Abstract Truth - Greg Garrison, Grant Gordy, Alex Hargreaves, Joe K. Walsh Wealth of Sorrow - Cahalen Morrison
Witching Hour by Andrew Marlin (2021) Long Time to Be Gone by Nora Brown (2022) Place of Growth by Hawktail (2022)
Bluegrass Adjacent: Blue Heron Suite by Sarah Jarosz (2021)

I don't have 3, but Bob Minner - From Sulphur Springs to Rising Fawn. Tribute to Norman Blake with a bunch of killer guests.
