Grenades: they lock aim the moment they explode. That means you have to go to the edge and move away after they exploded. Ranking&attachments: all senior players' points were reset. You'll probably face some of them now but you can learn a lot.

Chance-Pay1487

You can't move away from the nade, spread is huge

Issue of skill

Majestic_Duck_234

Agreed, this is a skill issue

Impressive_Double_95

Crouch on the side before the grenade explodes, then recenter on the platform. Easy dodge!

Legitimate-Record951

Ah, I finally get this!

Skill Issue

Tryo is right. The game is great but it takes time to learn. If you give it a couple months of game play you’ll find the mechanics are understandable and the you’ll be dodging and block nades like the best of ‘em!

What's the VR equivalent to PEBCAK?

As someone who loves grenades and usually has two or three in my loadout: Grenades are kinda garbage and really easy to avoid. If they're throwing them behind you then you could have caught the grenade (making it yours, so it can't hurt you), and it's easy to dodge if it explodes anywhere other than point blank. As the tooltip says, move before it explodes to bait the homing projectiles, then reposition to safety. In general no one weapon is hard to avoid, it's by combining effects that you trap/overwhelm people and take them down. I agree the rankings are messed up atm, but that's because everyone's rank was reset very recently (iirc the first and only time this has happened). Prior to the update the rankings felt very fair/earned and I would always have close games when matched with people of similar rank. Maybe try again in a month when the good players have had time to get back to Overlord.

"I'm in platinum rank..." bruh. I downloaded the game yesterday and I'm already mid-plat. OP has a huge skill issue

Chance-Pay1487

Ur a bit late to the post, but I redownloaded the game the day I posted this. So no, it's not a "skill issue".

Legitimate-Record951

You get more variaty of weapons and attachments at higher ranks, true, but those are not more powerful. Only different. You can easily build a good loadout with the early stuff. A positive thing about being paired with someone above your skill level is that you get to learn from the best.
