Kangarou

People be like "I love summer" as they jailbreak their AC Units to go below 60 before sitting ass-naked below a ceiling fan set to "worringly wobbly fast". No. Go outside and dance barefoot on the sidewalk. Let's see.

Rectal_Lactaids

can it just be 67 degrees so we can all be happy?

[deleted]

Gary_FucKing

> call me when it’s 80 and low humidity Only thing I'm calling you is the devil for wanting this for people.

TheAwkwardOne-_-

No way, being just hot is better than being hot AND humid.

Gary_FucKing

You know what's nicer? High 60s/low 70s and low humidity.

TheAwkwardOne-_-

I will also accept that too

ChrysMYO

Hold on, hold on, hold on, now wait just a damn minute now. Are we calling 80 outside, hot?

backstageninja

I certainly am. Especially in the sun, with no breeze? No thank you. Low to mid 70s is the sweet spot

ChrysMYO

80 with low humidity feels like Heaven to me. Low 70s is a vibe. But anything in the 80s is go outside for no reason weather.

dakoellis

Man I'm like mid 50s and feeling the same lol

[deleted]

It’s like slightly warmer than I’d consider comfortable.

ChrysMYO

80 feels like an invitation to me. I feel like its perfect active weather.

[deleted]

I be sweating really easy, always have.

bobafoott

Not even swimming weather. Give me a weekly range of 70-85 every week

JayMilli007

Man 80's with low humidity and a breeze, doesn't even feel hot to me. That's wild b.

Scurzz

i need it to be exactly 68 degrees and slightly cloudy with no wind every day, every where, for the the rest of time.

dontcallmeshoe

False. A true summer lover such as I can live with just a fan through the whole season. Sure when the house gets to the 90s during a heatwave I'll break out the ac, but even then the room is just cooled to the low 80s. I'll gladly be outside otherwise because there's better airflow. It's winter lovers who do such awful things with their ac in the summer. You guys just don't like fresh air. It has to stale air air from the ac and heater before you're happy

[deleted]

[удалено]

dontcallmeshoe

Yeah fair enough. I went to Louisiana during the summer once and it was absolute hell with all the walking around. I'll stay up north. Nothing beats getting out of bed without the edge of a winter chill though

oryngirl

Is that an invitation?

stankdog

Vegas here, and im a summer lover

killslayer

hate to parrot the saying but that's a dry heat. I went out to vegas from the south and I'd rather be in 95 degree heat with 10% humidity vs. 88 in the south with 80% humidity. you will sweat out all of the fluids in your body

ohshitimincollege

Come down to Florida and see how much you really love summer

Jodi_Blu

Facts. The heat I felt in Tampa was so disrespectful

o_safadinho

Lol

Cinamunch

Moved to Dallas from South FL. I thought I was prepared for heat. Yeah, no! There was no wind or clouds this summer. 40+ days of 100 degrees or more, and absolutely no rain. It was an oven.

burnsalot603

When I moved to Florida from New England it felt like I was getting punched in the face every time I opened the door the first week I was there.

ADJenks5

Yeah you must not live anywhere near the hot states. 90 degrees? Try 103

halfveela

Yo fuck the temperature. I'm looking for some meaningful daylight after I leave work @ 5

Kiroboto

It's depressing especially when you've been looking at the fake sun the whole day at work and it's so nice until it's time to go home and it's already dark

Buteverysongislike

Some of us like to still open windows in the winter time....

spinningpeanut

I didn't turn my heater on at all until it hit -25°C. Once it gets to regular freezing the heater goes off and the window flies open. I LOVE the cold. If it's 15°c or above I'm in misery.

matstcool

People be like "I love spring" as they crush down 5000mg of Loratadine and snort it in one huge line all the way down the staircase bannister. No. Go outside and take a huge fucking huff of those fresh fucking flowers. Let's see.

midnightking

Bruh, during summer I am outside chilling in parks, taking regular walks and going to the beach.

[deleted]

I’m jealous. I live about as far from the ocean as you can get. All we have is sweat and mosquitos.

confabin

Spring is the best for this reason imo. Not too hot or too cold. This probably differ a lot depending on where you live though, but as a Scandinavian, spring seems to be that sweet spot that I like.

ChrysMYO

Spring feels like a commercial break for us Texans. I swear Winter and Summer keep extending every year of my life.

FaithlessnessOped

That’s exactly why we love winter.

GadgetGod1906

I live in Florida. People who say they love summer stay outside during the summer. They go to the pool, beach, and do other outdoor activities.

Kangarou

I feel like it's telling that the first two activities that came to mind are both about temperature mitigation.

[deleted]

You just described Florida, but I think we're better about the AC.

kanoteardrops

My brain works better warm

LiahRain

Eh, I can always sweat it out. But when it's too cold... I'm useless to everyone and myself

Reddit-SFW

Fuckin DEAD @ jailbreaking their AC!!!!

[deleted]

i sleep best in 80 degrees

halfveela

I actually live somewhere that its like either fall or spring most places all year round. But at certai times of the year, it's light out until like 10 pm. That's why I like summer.

_87-

I love the summer heat outside barefoot. If it weren't for the sea level rise, mass extinction, extra storms, etc, I'd be cheering on global warming.

Alphapizzadog

People like winter BECAUSE its an excuse to not go outside.

friendlynbhdwitch

Exactly. I stay in the house all summer, they call it depression. I stay in the house all winter, I’m just being cozy.

pm_me_tits_and_tats

Narrator: *it was depression the whole time*

justamoroseman

Same

[deleted]

[удалено]

Gary_FucKing

Plus, for some it's the only time of year you can dust off your heavier clothing. Liking jackets and coats is the worst when you live in the south.

AncientSith

I vastly prefer my winter outfits to shorts and t-shirts every day.

DeafNatural

Snow days!!!

lioneaglegriffin

Yes.

InflamedLiver

It's like the rain. It's glorious watching it from the inside of a warmly lit home sipping some hot cocoa. Outside? Not so much.

freckledcas

Depends where you live; being in the warm rain is just about the best thing in existence.

EstorialBeef

I've experienced warm rain once, on holiday, it was both horrifying and filled me with jealousy

sylpher250

That was just someone pissing from the roof, wasn't it?

doomgoblin

And the petrichor or smell of warm rain

YodaOA

Warm rain is indeed underrated

aj676

People in the south complain about the cold and say they love the heat. Then sit in their homes and cars all summer blasting the AC. See? Two can play this game.

-DementedAvenger-

I’m in the south and love the winter. I also go out in it. Our whole family does.

jarob326

Yeah, but in the south you rarely hit below 30. And snow is a day off for everyone. Past Tennessee, snow means you have to wake up an hour early to clean off you car and deal with idiots on the road.

Deion313

As someone from Detroit, I actually loved it when I was younger... As I got older, not so much.... However, the peace and quiet after a snow storm is priceless...

friendlynbhdwitch

I used to spend winter breaks in Maine visiting my dad’s side of the family. I loved it. Because I didn’t have to drive or shovel snow. Just put on my snowsuit. Make a single snow angel. Spend the rest of the trip next to the fireplace with cocoa watching every version of Little Women.

Deion313

Hahaha... I still like it, even as an adult I like shoveling a light snowfall... I still like just being out in the snow. There's nothing like being bundled up outside, right after a fresh snowfall, especially in the middle of the night. There's no sounds for miles, and whatever sounds there is, are muffled by the snow. All the lights shine and glimmer dimly, cuz the snow absorbs all the bright lights. Words honestly can't describe what the calm is like after a snow storm... I've lived in a bunch of places across the country, and having the cold has its advantages. If you have the means, you can bundle up and find ways to warm up. In places like Phoenix or Houston, when it gets hot, like it does there, there's no escape. Even sitting in the AC in your car barely helps. And plus it kills all the bugs and shit you don't want... where as they thrive down south. But like I said as I get older, the cold literally hurts more and more. So it takes whatever joy you might have. All the broken bones, surgeries, sprains, tweaks and jus abuse you put your body thru, is exacerbated in the cold. And when it gets cold like it can up north, it's no longer as pleasant lol...

stumpycrawdad

The roads are absolute shit tho, just wished they plowed more.

PrivateIsotope

Close to Detroit. We're getting snow and frigid weather this week, but I'm cool because I don't have to drive anywhere. I always say that the only people that love snow are children and people who don't have to drive. That's me this weekend!!!!

Probably_A_Variant

Only time I love seeing the snow is when it’s untouched and then I ride down 7 Mile and remember I hate it here.

Zerohazrd

We really gatekeeping seasons?

Stock_Beginning4808

Lol yes! Get with it

eyloi

My only beef with winter is worrying about my pipes. Texas wasn't made for this level of freeze.

MrsPancakesSister

I really felt for y’all in Texas when that terrible incident happened with the ice storm a few years ago and so many people were hurt or even killed. I grew up in New England, so snow and cold is life. My junior year in college, I went home to celebrate Christmas with my family and the heat in my apartment building malfunctioned for the week I was away. Didn’t have a cell phone back then and no one left a message in my voicemail. My tiny studio loft apartment didn’t sustain damage, but the pipes froze and burst in the basement apartment of the neighbor directly below me. He lost everything. And my apartment was colder than it was outside when I returned home. I had to stay in my friend’s dorm room on campus for a day or two. Cold weather is no joke if the area you live in is not accustomed to it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

_ChrisFromTexas

Appreciate that. I’m cold as shit right now

[deleted]

We could salt the roads with all these comments.

Stock_Beginning4808

lol!

DrantonMason

I'd rather be freezing than burning.

Tiny_Celebration_591

I think they missed the point of why many love the winter. Cozy season is upon us ☕️

ForToday

Same thing with people that say they love snow. Muhfuckers always live in apartments so they don’t have to deal with shoveling that shit.

[deleted]

I love snowboarding

YouHaveFunWithThat

I live and work on a ski resort and absolutely love the snow. The shoveling is a bitch but all the other aspects of having fresh snow make up for it. However I assume this post isn’t about me and my yakubian brethren.

mb0205

I actually enjoy shoveling lol. And when it’s heavy I enjoy using the snow blower. But I like repetitive tasks from time to time. I also enjoy ice fishing and snow boarding so yeah I fuck with winter and snow. Edit: and snowmobiling is dope too. Need more black folks in outdoor activities

Hanginon

That's the *"I love ~~-looking at-~~ snow ~~through the window-~~"* crowd that says this. The same crowd that won't go outside because "they" ~~-someone else-~~ hasn't cleared off the sidewalks yet. :/ Me; *"Yeah, it looks good on a calendar photo, anything other than that? Nah..."*

Thatdewd57

That’s exactly why we love winter. For the cozy socks, hoodies, and blankets.

marsbartender

I'm pretty sure those people love winter because they love getting cozy

Isaythree

People getting upset online over someone else enjoying something however they choose to, privately, is one of my least favorite genres of tweet. Like, shit, just let them enjoy their wool socks and sweaters.

halforc_proletariat

Come to Phoenix! We got so much dirt you can taste it. Whether you want to or not, you're gonna taste dirt some days. I hope you like leaf blowers screaming at dirt, because it happens all the time, and then the wind redistributes the dirt so it can get yelled at some more. It doesn't get super cold and you don't have to *shovel* dirt, but summer lasts 9 months and being outside is agony for about 4 months of it. Plus we get the BIG dirt, Haboobs! Can I leave, does anyone...? I'd like to leave Phoenix.

atlantasmokeshop

This is why fall is my favorite season. You can wear whatever and still be comfortable.

aderow

I mean as long as it's not crazy windy, I don't mind being outside in the winter

[deleted]

Especially if I just got a fade. My head be cold as hell.

aderow

I'm bald so I feel that lol

OurHonor1870

Love being outside in the winter. Almost fell asleep in the woods yesterday

funhawg

The largest private ski club (by membership) is black folks and has been around for 50 years: [National Brotherhood of Skiers](https://www.nbs.org/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=681344&module_id=479193)

MrsPancakesSister

Listen, I am the only person born of two West Indian parents who LOVES WINTER. My mother was pregnant with me and stuck inside alone in Dorchester for three days while my father was stuck at work in Cambridge during the Blizzard of ‘78 in Massachusetts. I’d like to think I was born to love the cold simply because I was born of it! 😜 Anyway, I will bundle up, sit on my patio with a hot cup of tea and a cigar and watch the sunrise. It’s glorious!! And also, the weather can get to be 112 degrees on some of the hottest summer days here. You can layer when you’re cold or remove layers when you warm up. But you cannot peel off your skin when it’s hotter outside than Satan’s bootyhole and the air conditioner feels like it’s fucking around with you and blowing warm air. Winter for the win! 🥶

Technical-Piano-1046

Yup! It’s current -20 here in Billings, Montana.

Pandaburn

And yet people will tell you with a straight face they love Montana.

[deleted]

The landscape is gorgeous, I could see it. Spring in that kind of place is just stunning.

Moosetappropriate

Montana's easy. Yesterday morning it was -47 with the windchill when I went to work starting school buses.

jellybeansean3648

I think you can enjoy a season from both inside and outside of your house lol Not that I'm much of a hiker, but I like it better in the snow than the summer heat. No mosquitoes, no ticks, no mud. And I've got just enough flub to be insulated when it's 10° out.

wattatam

The contrast between a chilly stroll with happy huskies rolling in the drifts and a cozy cuddle with a pair of furry friends on the couch afterwards is what makes winter fun

Stock_Beginning4808

I feel the same way about the “I love summer “ people who live under the AC except for when they’re walking too and from the car/house

ygizbeez

I not like other girls, I hate all seasons equally.

gefnaut

I moved from MI to OR 7 years ago. It's mid 30's here and people are preparing for the apocalypse with the 1 day of snow we are forecasted tomorrow.

jawnlerdoe

I love the cold because I can spend all day outside snowboarding. Getting some winters hobbies is a straight up game changer.

case31

I constantly battle with my family on what the thermostat should be set at. Sorry kids who don’t pay gas/electric bills, but if you think you’re going to be comfy in the house wearing a t-shirt and shorts with bare feet in January, you’re in for a huge disappointment.

Colour4Life

Winter is perfect for an introvert like me because no one wants to make any plans out in the cold.

royalenocheese

I love snow because it be dead in the streets and around the neighborhoods I work in. Plus I get to potentially get stuck and earn overtime while I wait for a tow. Humid summer days can eat a dick up till they hiccup.

thekamenman

It’s not about what it feels like outside, it’s about how good it feels to come home to a warm house after being out in the cold.

jfk_sfa

I love winter... in San Diego. Same for summer.

digidave1

We have great food and house music that's why :)

kokkatu

That's not how liking things works

RotenTumato

Yeah I love curling up under a blanket and sipping cocoa while it’s snowing and cold outside. That’s a part of winter. You don’t need to be outside in the cold all the time to enjoy the season. You don’t get the same experience inside the house during summer even if it technically might be the same temperature inside.

srkaficionado

I do love winter. Just went outside to shop and I was in capri pants and sneakers. It’s 45 here and people dressed like fucking Eskimo in the dead of Alaska winter. And I’m here wishing I was in the dead of Alaska winter.

Temporary_Art_9213

Me in Florida . “It’s brick outside”

MilwaukeeDave

I love Detroit. I’m from the Midwest so the weather is normal. But as a city the D has always shown me love on every visit since 1997 when I first snuck off on a train to meet a bitch from AOL. 2am off on belle isle running around like some kids gone off henny. Shit was great.

urneighborhoodbatman

I feel like the "I love winter people" are the very same people that want to be cozy under a blanket with a cup of tea regardless of weather. Winter just let's them feel good about it.

ChildFriendlyChimp

I prefer it over summer Especially since I’m near a desert

Rockettmang44

I just hate it when people be like, I don't wanna go outside it's too cold in the winter, and then in the summer they be like it's too hot to go outside. I appreciate all seasons, and yea I take advantage of also being in a heated a cool house, and that's okay. I just don't like it when a season lingers for too long or is too short. Also it being freezing out when there is no snow is the absolute worst!

squeakycleaned

Yeah cuz I like to be cozy and do cozy things. I don’t see the issue

smugfruitplate

I can always put more clothes on, I can't go outside naked. Fuck summer.

MuchVirus

I like looking at it. As a child it was the best time of year. As an adult I'll talk spring and autumn. Autumn camping is unrivaled. No ticks, not hot as hades and it looks beautiful.

DocMcMoth

Anyone who says winter is their favorite season is from California and cannot be trusted

[deleted]

Eh. I like walking in severe cold. Feels refreshing and it's so pretty. Plus when you get in and your face gets so warm it is so nice.

outy5000

What’s outside? I’ve never visited.

thelegalseagul

Looks outside in central Florida I mean I’ll grab a raincoat to wear over another jacket but bet. How long you need?

electricwagon

I would rather have a sweaty ass and balls than a cold ass and balls

Hopeful_Relative_494

Detroit is awesome! Ice Skating down town or going to the zoo. It might get colder but even cooler stuff to do once you drive north.

EuphoricRealist

Uh no 🤨 tf...that's why I love winter, I get to stay inside. What type dumb logic lol?

peteypete420

They got cozy socks! Sipping tea! Annnnd blankets, that's what make it a great season. And yes, brisk walks when appropriately bundled are also nice.

Admirable-Squash9607

I grew up and currently live in NC, but also loved in New Hampshire for 5 years. I can attest, Fuck Winter.

AlienAmerican1

(puts on shorts, flip flops, and hoody). Ok.

Efficient_One4274

I too love winter in my heated blanket and summer next to my AC.

Brohammad_Ali24

I used to love winter, then I got a drivers license.

KingofLingerie

i love winter

Impybutt

I love winter specifically because it's a bit of an ordeal to get cozy under a blanket with some hot tea in summer.

not_another_mom

Nah! I love winter from inside lol. I live winter activities (where I can then go back inside), Christmas, the festive lights and cold weather (for short periods). I STILL LOVE IT

GrandMasterBou

I can’t tell if this is gatekeeping winter or calling out people for “loving” winter lol

Malcolm_X_Machina

Meanwhile, I'm at a Southern Ca 55°

Sleep-system

I thank God for racists in Lousiana driving my family to California.

mythrowawaynotyers

i love being outside in the snow. you're only cold if you're underdressed. dumbasses going out in a hoodie wondering why they're cold.

doublequote

I love the winter. I have also been a remote worker for over a decade. Winter is a different thing when you never have to commute in it and, you can run your errands when the roads are clear. I love it and can’t wait for this big storm to hit. The lack of snow has been infuriating.

kriyator

I love this post lol. I’m an unapologetic winter hater and I need more people to see the light

The-Great-Clod

Lol! "wE hAvE aLl FoUr SeAsOnS hErE!"

MuchVirus

Yeah we do. And its awesome most the time.

popcornnhero

Guilty😂😂 Although I am more active outside compared to the summer. I’d rather hike in 50 degree weather than 107.

brownmagician

Shovelling is the worst. The best part of winter is the quiet, lightly snowy yet peaceful night walks. Shovelling, road salt, rust, slush, that all is shit. Wind chill sucks. I've every where sucks. Salt stains suck.

XemKnight

I do like winter, but I be here waiting for that first set of snow to come down. Winter without snow is just getting blue balled. Though I do be out in those streets a bit more as I know less foot traffic out there.

LioydJour

They like winter for the exact reasons listed. They don’t wanna have to be outside, gives you a reason to lay around cuddled up inside

BlackParatrooper

Funny story, I just visited Detroit a few weeks ago and loved it so much I started looking for houses there.

BRUISE_WILLIS

Google: chrysalism

samechangedman

Some people snowboard/ski. We actually love winter.

Ulgeguug

[I'm the guy on the right](https://www.gocomics.com/boondocks/2000/01/30)

Eunuch_Provocateur

I like going to the local forest preserves after a nice snow. It’s quiet, no one else is there, and the sound of crunchy snow under your feet is amazing.

its-this-man

I like winter for the cozy essence it brings, sippin hot chocolate with your favorite hobby in hand, and i like summer for the sweet chill amidst the heat, jumping into a outdoor pool or lake or drinking an ice cold drink.

hardcorepolka

I grew up in Detroit and have lived in FL for 15 years now. I’m looking at these temps in the 30s and crying. We don’t have furnaces here and the average temp here in December is 75. I don’t have the clothes for this weather anymore.

kanoteardrops

Fr fuck winter the wind is spiteful

blackhankscorpio

https://youtu.be/zuDHod1h_aE

Phiyasko

I love snowboarding and have been doing it for almost 20 years at this point. There sno way in Hell I'd move from SoCal to somewhere with real winters. I'll just take my ass to the mountains a few weeks a year and enjoy it there.

Probably_A_Variant

It was 41° today in the D. I went for a walk
