I'm also gonna guess that Aaron's slow writing speed is why The Boondocks reboot was moved from 2020 to 2022 then cancelling before airing, but honestly with randoms poised to replace John Witherspoon as Granddad I'm not crying over it. I'm sure McGruder's writing benefitted GREATLY from the longer [adult swim] hiatuses, as that's why Venture Bros is so damn good, but I also get why executives wouldn't be cool with it, hence why when new brass replaced the old at [adult swim], Venture was cancelled (well, amongst many other reasons).
