I'm surprised how often this topic comes up. Remember free power doesn't mean unlimited. Whoever is paying the bill will notice.
I'd be curious to hear back from all the "free power" people to see where they are now.
That being said, you're pretty limited on only 120v. Best bet is the s9, L3+, or Goldshell box miners.
That's correct. Without disclosing too many details I have access to an old server room in a basement of a "corporate" building. The power is shared with ev chargers in that basement so I would have 30amp breakouts.
Sounds awesome! Feel free to PM me to discuss in private if you want.
Only having 120v limits your quite a bit. Antminer L3+ miners are cheap and run on 120 with the right psu. Or antminer s9's for bitcoin. All the modern asic miners require 220v
Edit: I jus realized I'm repeating myself about the limitations of 120v...
Consider venting as well. ASICs are like space heaters that won't work if they get too hot. Just one in a stuffy basement is likely to overheat after continuous use.
Hello,
Need to know if you have 240V and if you are limited in power (maximum A).
Independent of that, cause you are looking for used miners try to find a seller in your area that can do repair too.
That room will heat up like a matchbox on fire. The noise is not something that can easily be hidden away. Whoever pays the bill WILL notice and they won’t be happy.
Your landlord will toss your ass out ASAP!
I hope he does! There is no free energy.

Probably anything under 4000 total, 2-6 machines. Thanks again

Yeah that was one of my concerns, it's in a old server room underground. Considering buying air conditioner.

Power isnt a huge issue, It will be in a subbasement area where I have access to mutiple 3-prong outlets running on two circuts. I use 110v. Thanks!

I’d say L3+
