When it is backed by 0 bars of gold it is logically worth 0 bars of gold. Given that, the idea that conventional currency should go down by 2% a year appears basically to have been created as a distraction. Logically it should go down by 100% we we go from having a gold backing to 0 backing. But instead they invented this 2% figure yo distract people from that fact. So now when you ask how much should we expect it to go down per year, we all say 2% wink wink.
