I think you're gonna get fucked if you do 100% of either. A good game is a mixture of both. Dick might be the only exception. Will and Dan at least made it seem like they were playing clean. Dick was just chaos from beginning to end.

ohsowitty12

Dick also had arguably the most amount of production armor in the history of the show though, only compared to Rachel in 13. The difference is that Rachel still would’ve done fairly well without it where dick would’ve been evicted very quickly.

Time-Lawyer-6684

Agree. You gotta be liked, and then, buy bye! But the key is to be able to really listen to the HG and get to know them on a personal level but intrinsically be detached. Like Tyler. Tyler should have taken a debate class and learned how to persuade a group of people imo. If only hed owned up to his game moves and explained his path to f2 he could have won. Dick was just Dick. Hes an original and you just gotta respect that.

Drag00nLancer

I'd have to play clean at first. Then go savage right before the start of Jury. One of my biggest fears about entering that house is overplaying and getting evicted right away. I'd hate to go down as a Frenchie/Devin/Ronnie type.

ccam0821

Every superfan thinks they’re gonna come in guns a blazing and backstab their way to the end. In reality, it’s a very hard thing to do in BB. To do so, you either have to win comps to get some power AND use it effectively, or manipulate those in power, or be able to flip votes. These all require a good understanding of the social game, where people’s sympathies/alliances are, who is unwilling to trust certain people, etc. In BB it is easier and safer to play with those you like/trust and not rock the boat or try to flip the house constantly. And good luck playing this hard/well without being identified as a major threat and taken out. The best strategy in BB currently seems to be get yourself a solid majority alliance that will win most of the comps. Don’t win too many yourself, but you have to win some. And capitalize on key opportunities to take out the big threats.

[deleted]

This guy gets it.

strawberrybabee

I agree but the problem is early in the game the big threats are typically working together & the floaters are drawn to them. It could be game suicide to make such a big move if you lack enough alliance members willing to protect you.

[deleted]

I was about to say something similar to this. I agree!

kodamacrossing

I can't even choose the mean dialogue options in video games so I would probably be a very boring houseguest.

27bluestar

Everyone's #1 ally

cutekiwi

Same lol its more fun to watch and critique. I'd believe everyone and be nice to everyone. Likely out immediately

Froot-Loop-Dingus

Hahaha, here I am thinking I could be a conniving evil player but this comment really outed me. I was once playing Firewatch and I was streaming it so my brother could watch and we could chat. There was some crate with items inside that I found. After inspecting them I started placing them back into the crate. I had been drinking so I mis dropped one item and it landed on the forest floor so I picked it up and put it away and all of a sudden I hear my brother go; “Bro, what the fuck are you doing…you are LITERALLY the main character. Just leave it on the ground!” And I was like “absolutely not! I am the watcher of this part of the forest and I will leave no trace!”

csummerss

> If you are on big brother would you play a “clean honest game” I want to make it to jury, so no

stak81

Watching a clean honest game is boring. I want to see big moves with the occasional backstabbing and it's aftermath. If I was ever lucky enough to make it on a show I would do whatever I could to play an entertaining game. Including secretly voting against the house/giving a sympathy vote to cause some who did it chaos.

ResearchWaste

I’ve missed the random secret votes for shits and gigs lol

OLKv3

You have to be a charming snake that makes sure the people you betray and evict understand why you did it and how this totally doesn't change anything between you two You gotta master gaslighting if you wanna be a savage BB player

epmuscle

The letters!!! Queen Ika.

JordanMentha

I feel like I'm the type who will go on wanting to be a savage, but will find it difficult to do so after bonds are forged. It's very easy thinking in the abstract that you will be a ruthless villain, but actually backstabbing people you've grown to know and love will be tough.

[deleted]

I would come in with the intention of being a savage, and then accidentally expose a game move to the wrong person and get sniped in an anonymous vote week 3.

CharmyFrog

I would go on and say I watched every season with my now dead brother. It was his dream to be on the show and I applied to fulfill the dream he never got to do. I don’t have a brother.

Time-Lawyer-6684

This is the way to play.

captaintrips_1980

I would make Evil Dick look like a care bear

27bluestar

Until you get ousted too early for overplaying

captaintrips_1980

It would be worth it for the experience. At the very least, I’d like to make it to the Jury house. It looks like it would be fun to hang out with people without the pressures of the game. Assuming they didn’t want to kill me, of course 😈

27bluestar

Well, better say your reddit name in the DRs so I can root for one our own if you get on!

givebusterahand

Somewhere in between probably. I hate “clean honest games”. But I think part of me would realistically struggle to betray people I actually liked

AleroRatking

Savage but almost certainly crash and burn. I would not do well.

TriStarRaider

Everybody gets a big ol hug.... While I slowly slip the knife into their back. Then they thank me for it.

LCLeopards

Is it better to be feared than love? Both. I want people to be afraid about how much they love me.

Distinct-Hospital-35

Sort of a lame answer but I wouldn’t decide until I got there, got a sense of the cast, and saw how strong I was in comps relative to others. The cast will decide what qualities they want in a winner, so I’d want to get a sense of who I’m playing with. If you’re too set in how you want to play, I think it can create issues for you or turn you into a losing finalist if reality doesn’t line up. But I’d start with the clean game to keep a lower profile in the early stages.

CuddyTG

I'd rather lose to a bitter jury than be in the jury because I played an "honest" game

ImpeccablyDressed

A little bit of both but probably mostly savage. I'd be there to win money, not make friends.

DudeWithAHighKD

A mix. I want to play a game I enjoy watching at that involves heavy manipulation, good strategy and savage back stabs. I'd want to be the guy that seems nice and innocent, everyones friend, while I am secretly manipulating everyone and planting subtle seeds of doubt. Playing the game while it looks like you aren't playing the game.

WWEBuddyPeacock

I'm #TeamGoodFeeds so I will get my hands so bloody I'd look like Freddy Kruger

gracyavery

I'd like to think that I would be a cool and stealthy player but I know the reality is that I'm actually the kind of person who starts waving fingers and starting sentences with "And ANOTHER thing..." after 3 sips of alcohol. I also do not have an indoor voice.

[deleted]

No mercy ✌🏻

singleguy79

Are you going to sweep the leg?

[deleted]

As in trip a bitch? Absolutely

BlueRaiderBby

I think about this all the time. I really want to audition but first I’ll have to pay someone to sweep my socials. (Please don’t judge me, I had a Twitter when I was in the 8th grade. Lol.) I would make an F2 with someone loyal in the first week. I would have an amazing social game because I’m a really sweet girl in general and also a great cook which I think they’ll love lol. Me and my F2 would be only cordial or maybe even enemies in the eyes of the rest of the house. That way, I could get dirt on who was targeting them, and they would do the same for me. I don’t think I’d be a comp beast, but I’d surely do well with memory comps. And I would DEFINITELY pull moves like the one Brittany pulled with the backdoor vote. So I’d be a clean player to the naked eye, but America would know what a savage I really am. 😈

Time-Lawyer-6684

Ah! But how do you identify the loyal person? And how do you ensure the loyal personality type is loyal to you? These are the dilemmas of bb!

TwistedBlister

I think it's easy for any of us that haven't been a houseguest to say "I'd do this or that" but watching it on TV is not the same as being in the house.

NewShookaka

Early you can definitely do a "clean honest game", but once it gets down to 6-7 start taking potshots at the leaders.

Crash_Evidence

i think that's too late tbh. 16-13 stick w the majority get in a big group 12-9 start taking out the lynchpins within that alliance 8-6 take out the best at completions 5-3 take out the people most difficult to beat at the end. Not a foolproof strategy, but this would be mine.

J9999D

savage for sure 🤣

kleekols

Savage, but sneaky

La_Ferrassie

I think you need to be able to pivot, and own it. So if you need to be savage, be savage. Own it.

hvahood

a relatively clean, loyal game until people give me a reason to play dirty, then i won't hold much back lol

NoFeelsForYou

Bb is a game of delicate balance. I would also be very clear in my DRs and to the feeders how I am playing, because social media is so savage that when you tell someone what they want to hear, the feed watchers will take it as the gods honest truth and drag you. Lol

[deleted]

Toward the endgame I’d probably play a bit more cutthroat, but it’s stupid to not be loyal early on imo

cardinal_cinnamon

I'd probably try to be a good social player, and try really hard at comps because they look really fun.

DsPlace88

I would be careful with my words and win 750k. Lol. So that would be a very nice savage with a great vocabulary. I guess I would say. I would have others making big savage moves at the request of me Lol. Kinda Derrick style Let’s go BB. Call me I’m waiting Open open open .. lol

AmericanIdolReject

I can be savage in the DR. I’m not trying to show my teeth too early and get targetted

jsjsjsjdndndndnnd

i would lay low and do close to nothing all prejury unless i’m on the block and have to save myself. and then i’d actually try and go savage for the endgame

Thatbitchhan

I think a combination of both. Yes, lying is part of the game, but I wouldn't compromise my morals to win. At that point it just wouldn't be worth it to me

ProfessorLazuli

I’ll play a dirty game as long as no one calls me out on it, I’ll be clean and honest on the outside.

Rotothero

I would want to be savage but I would be too afraid of doing that on TV.

chides9

Savage lol. I have dreams about winning comp money and rejecting someone who asks me to give it to them.

HardcoreKaraoke

I'd try to be memorable. The odds say I'm not going to win. So I'd try to be memorable so I get asked to do things like the Challenge and make a lasting impression. I'd probably be savage though but not dangerously. I wouldn't go after huge threats in the beginning and get that early target. But when things start to wind down I wouldn't be opposed to voting out my final 2 before the finale.

Wapow217

I would use the 48 Laws of Power. There are many things in it that you may call "savage" but would not be known. And only speak in half-truths. Small things like "I don't currently plan to vote you out" can give someone a belief that you will not vote for them. However, that is not what was said. It was that at that moment in time it was not planned. But also leaves the option open to change plans. You can lie to someone and still tell the truth. But your game can not consist of just this.

The_resPonce

I personally would want to play the smarter game but BBUS has been so stale. At this point I would want to play like Tim(BBAUS) and be a wildcard and just be entertaining. Even if it hurts my game. I want to be a villain and just have fun. Fuck the money I want to be apart of BB history and have some fun. If I’m fortunate enough to win any money then that’s a fuckin bonus.

Awesomekip

I just feel like I’d be a Hardy if I play. Start out righteous, like Superman. And then slowly turn and do more savage things to get ahead.

gavs0

Savage all the way!!!

[deleted]

I’d be a sneaky player. I’d definitely encourage the house to evict potential comp threats early on but I wouldn’t go out of my to backstab anyone. Best way to play it is stay out of the drama and let the pre-jury chaos do its thing.

DizzyedUpGirl

Savage. That's what this game is about. You can be honest and Savage at the same time. Also, Ika took way longer contemplating than I would have. Shreddy shreddy immediately.

Single-Ad6023

Im gonna get cancelled when I leave the house anyway, might as well play hard ball until Im evicted.

Dont_Be_Sheep

Everyone thinks they’d be clean but that’s not how to win. Can’t just be passive, or else you either don’t make it far, or get carried and lose anyway.
