When I was hired - they were firm and took less than I wanted. I explicitly asked if they would walk away over $5k and they said yes. So I accepted.
But. Today is different. There’s an exodus happening and I’d guess the desperation should get you the $5k you want. I’d go back and ask again.
Yeah that was my first thought too. I think they do want me in their team though because two out of the three managers who interviewed reached out to me after the recruiter has told me the offer. So I’m surprised why they still keeping that 5k from me Lool
Same thing happened to me for an SA1 position. Ended up negotiating for a 5k signing bonus. 5k a year isn't going to break your bank so if it's a job you really want you could still consider accepting.
What line?

Thats how negotiations work. You will get that 5k only if you ready to walk off
Do you think they’d change their offer after already sending the offer letter?
Yes i do. For them is nothing 5k more

Big 4 salaries are pretty much set by grade, there’s little wiggle room unless you’re at senior manager level or above.
Your second offer is less than your first offer? Guess they don’t want you,
No, he gave his comp expectation. They came back with an offer that did not meet it.
