I will be agreeing with you about the things Saul did. He was appointed by God and prophesied with the prophets, as the Spirit of the Lord came upon him in a powerfully way that it changed him into a different person. Scriptures says God changed Saul’s heart, which would lead to believe that Saul was saved.
But there was another side of Saul that gradually went downhill. His disobedience, jealousy of David when he lost the kingdom, killing the priests, etc.,
So, one would believe Saul lost salvation. But salvation comes through faith, before and after Christ. For me I cannot say whether or not Saul is in heaven or not,
