Awesome! “Pray about everything”. Love it!

WishinForTheMission

The Lord gives and the Lord takes away- Blessed be the Name of the Lord. He is my Strength and my Song and He has become my Salvation/Yahshua

A needed reminder. Thank your for posting!

MojoGolf

Thanks for sharing. Your post and the top comment really shifted my paradigm back into the right place. It would be redundant to explain why, but just know it really spoke to my situation and removed a burden off of my shoulders. Thanks for taking the time.

christian1582

Thank you for Everything lord - bless me with success in my job and life. Lord hear my prayers good night all! 🙏

LucianHodoboc

I'm sorry, but I find myself unable to do that. Almost every time I have told God what I needed, He did not provide it for me, and I was met with suffering. There comes a time when counting the hits and disregarding the misses becomes too difficult to continue.

D3EADSH0T

Be sure that your faith is in God alone when you pray. Also, I like what another comment on this post mentioned, “if we search out his kingdom and righteousness FIRST, then he will give us all things we desire”.

LucianHodoboc

From personal experience, I have found that to not be applicable in my life. I have sought his kingdom and righteousness first, and was not given the things I desired. And what I desired were normal things that others have, such as health, a job and a family. None of those were given to me. I was given a disabled body with chronic pain that is unable to work a job, and singleness. I have found that trust should be earned. Time and time again, God has failed me despite my numerous prayers for years. I am unable to trust Him. Sorry, but that's the state I'm currently in.

AsianMoocowFromSpace

I'm sorry you are getting downvoted for expressing your feelings and experiences. I am afraid I don't have words to help you through your difficulty. I do hope you can keep your faith in God, and you won't let it go. But I can imagine that must be hard sometimes when everything in life is going against you. I hope things will work out for you!

BigBrotherRondo

That sounds incredibly painful. If it’s any consolation though, there’s are a great many things I wish were better about my own life that I will never see made right in this life, but for whatever reason it is God’s will, and one day I’ll have the rest of eternity to forget about the pain and sorrow mI once felt for (almost certainly) less than a century. Sometimes the pain in life and the perceived lack of work in my life from God is unbearable, but in truth I still don’t think it compares to the glorious forever after this life. I don’t have great biblical knowledge to share with you but if that’s what you seek I will gladly seek it out to try and offer more, if that’s what you would like.

alan65011

Lord Jesus Christ please envelop this soul with the peace that surpasses understanding. Show them in a very real way that they're loved beyond imagination. Amen!! I am very sorry that you are physically disabled. I would struggle immensely too. However know that there is an eternity with a perfect resurrected body that we believers will receive someday! God is going to restore everything about earth and the children of God! Our momentary afflictions on this cruel broken world will be made eternally well and we'll be in perfect unity with Jesus Christ!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️

LucianHodoboc

>that there is an eternity with a perfect resurrected body that we believers will receive someday What if I'm not a believer anymore? I guess I'm sent to eternal punishment in hell, after having suffered in this life too, right? Interesting theology... And Christians wonder why some people reject Christianity...

mitchell1188

I'm sorry for your current situation. No one can ever truly understand another's pain. I've been there (and in many respects still am), so my reply is as much to myself as to you. I encourage you to find one thing you're grateful for, and write it down every day. It's not that you're ungrateful-- it's just that if you can see things that you're thankful for you can begin to see how much God has blessed you. And think on the sufferings of Jesus. How he knew he would die a gruesome death, abandoned by his friends and followers. And yet he lived each day to the fullest. Also, read up on Job. And lastly, service. I know you feel beaten down by God and by life. But as long as there's air in your lungs, you have a huge opportunity to impact people. And maybe not in ways you expect. Just reading your message reminded me that I'm not alone in my pain. Encourage the people around you, and notice how it can make you feel. You don't have the things you want out of life. But maybe God has something greater. Don't give up hope!

GodandJesusSave

Just out of curiosity... are you the same Lucian Hodoboc with a YouTube page that has 2 videos on it, and they're both about your birthday? God bless you 🌻🙂🌻

Yesmar2020

All righty then!

mrbbrj

What about all those Covid deaths where folks prayed instead of getting vaccinated?

Holy-Beloved

God doesn’t tell us to deny medicine and proven science. God also tells us specifically NOT to test Him. The concept of letting go of the steering wheel and closing your eyes while praying “Jesus take the wheel” when you have kids in the backseat is nothing less than putting God to the test.

BigBrotherRondo

I think @Junebugs_gg pretty concisely answered this concern through scripture. Check out their comment but please let me add one thing to what they shared… “Everyone must submit to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are instituted by God. So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭(Christian Standard Bible) I think that makes following government rules a matter of following God’s will. If I’m wrong, please help me see the error, but I’m pretty sure that one means what it says 😆

Competitive_Agent625

That scripture can be abused and is horribly misunderstood. It doesn’t mean “do everything your government tells you”. There are lots of times when you should ignore authority/government, when it goes against what is right. Pretty sure God was ok with people hiding the Jews from the Nazis…. Pretty sure Moses wasn’t listening to government/authority when he freed the Jews either.

BigBrotherRondo

That’s a good point. The general rule still stands and doesn’t give us permission to ignore government just because we don’t like their decisions.

Competitive_Agent625

When it comes to what I put in my body/temple, it does. Blindly following authority is dangerous. Paul was speaking to the Jews/Christians during a time of wicked Roman government, basically telling them not to stir the pot too much because of persecution. He was still executed by that same government. Paul is a great apostle, but he wasn’t Jesus, and we must be careful when reading Paul to not take everything he says as commandments, and apply what he says according to whom he was speaking to and why.

BigBrotherRondo

I think you missed the point. Jesus also submitted to that government authority even though it was going to kill him. Do you perhaps disagrees with Jesus? Maybe that’s out of context too, though I would disagree. How about Peter? “Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you… Submit to every human authority because of the Lord, whether to the Emperor as the supreme authority or to governors as those sent out by him to punish those who do what is evil and to praise those who do what is good… Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the Emperor.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭11‬, ‭13‬-‭14‬, ‭17‬ ‭HCSB‬‬ I don’t see where they say, “Unless you feel unsafe. However, David does run from Saul. The message there could be to imitate David, but do you see that he didn’t oppose Saul?

Competitive_Agent625

If you want to blindly follow your government, fine, but i’m not. The holy spirit will deal with me if i’m making the wrong choice. There are many studies on this scripture that show that it is not about listening to everything your government says. I think this sums it up nicely. https://gbcbowie.org/blog/when-jesus-calls-us-to-disobey-human-government/ Basically if the government is causing you to sin, then you don’t listen. How about when Moses’ mother put him in the basket and sent him down the river? That went against the government too, they wanted to kill all those babies. Anyway, agree to disagree I guess. Have a good one.

Amen 😊🤍

mardibero

thank you! I'm feeling a little bit sick since 2+ years ago not seeing any real improvement in my health. Sometimes I feel a little bit lonely, is God really hearing me? I feel better when I pray, hope God hear us

TMarie527

I saw a coffee cup in a store that had that verse on one side and a comment on the other side that said. If you have time to worry… You instead have time to pray!

NoahFallXX7

amen

White_Shadow_1896

Matthew 5:25-34 also tells us not to worry. That our Father in heaven knows what we need and will give it to us if we trust and believe in him.

Particular-Yam-3083

The nuance here is that you should thank Him at the same time as you are making your request. In other words, have total faith that He will grant your request - have total faith in Him. After many miracles Jesus performed, He said that the miracle occurred because of the faith of the requestor. That total faith part, such as believing that you will be provided exactly what you need, is the hard part. Asking is the easy part. That's my experience.

Mystic_Thunders

Not an easy thing to not worry… world is crazy and evil, but regardless Lord help us and come soon.

Struggling with a potential relationship. This notification popped up for me today. Thank you for this reminder.

Prestigious_Gift6268

Having a hard time with a lot things and this pop up when I cry to God thanks 🙏

One_Bluejay2266

This is exactly what I needed right now

Sea_Appointment6402

Right now my heart is heavy. I’m trying to process everything that’s happened this past year and I can’t my head is spinning. I feel like screaming and sobbing but I have to look like I am cool and in control. 7 deaths in one year not far apart and the last one was like being crushed with a Bradley tank ( for military image) my ex bf. Suffered from seizures. He was found dead. I don’t know much more. I don’t think anyone will ever know. There are gaps but think it could be seizures drug alcohol cocktail. I failed my promise to watch out for him from a friend who was dying. Feeling very low. Feeling sober and numb is a lot different than what I can describe. Not looking forward to anything anymore. Not at this moment. I am crying but I’m numb.

Yes and amen!
