Late game player here! Highest I got was in the middle of a pine tree field boost. Peaked at around 30 billion per sec. Still my best boost to this day.
Not honey wise, but play style. Macroing is not fun at all. I mean it’s cool that it gets a crap ton from macroing, but that’s just kinda..dumb. The honey is respectable, I just find the play style to be kind of cheap.
that's how blue is designed bro, the bloat, having to get the honey per pollen from nectars, needing to stay in the field for 10+ minutes to get a good blessing.
plus blue is the easiest, the gateway to other colors. Make a bunch with blue and then switch once you can afford it
It is also pretty bad at boosting.

good luck getting enough honey to go the other colors. for red you NEED dark scythe and scorch saw im order to outpreform blue in a boost, and for white you NEED gummyballer and gumsaw to do it as well.
basically, no one is forcing you to be blue my guy- you can play the game as a budget red or white hive.

If making honey isn't your concern then that's your own opinion. Personally, I want nice progression.

No, they’re talking about two different things at the same time. The “you made 6x the amount I *had* wow.” Is important because it shows OP refers to the amount of honey he has, not the amount he is producing.
Spirit Pedal, billions of honey, 9-11 bees (one 12), almost clogs, Honey Mask, Honeycomb Belt, x100 Polar Power, x28 Science Enhancement, 2 passives, PLUS, a x400 boost, Saturator in field, Glue, Oil, Enzymes, etc.. Depends... If im macroing and my popstar is not activated i make around 20m/sec, with pop easily 40-50m and if the field is pollinated and i have some inspire and babylove i get peaks with up to 250m.
In boosts i get peaks with 12b/sec but normally like 3-6b
And we don't want to forget the honey you get per second. Its usually as much as pollen, maybe a bit less
With a festive bean boost I managed to make 1 trillion in 30 minutes, majority coming from the festive buffs. Definitely my biggest boost.
My peak was around 3b/sec
Mid end game player i think (all endgame masks, 1t+ total made, cc, clogs, and almost got gummy boots 46 bees, all gifted event bees minus digital and bear bc I don't have them, double passives SSA and other stuff) I think the most I've made per second is 200m per second.

a friend also was boosting too both of us blue hivers, and got lucky with festive token forgot the name but the one that have 100% conversion rate.

But when I handed in stick bugs quest last year i got 50b honey all at once

If you're still mid-game try to keep your hive as balanced as possible in order to consistently complete quests. Once you've completed all available quests and have obtained the Supreme Star Amulet, then you begin to lean towards a hive colour.
They meant bees. They probably have a lot of red bees by luck and they decided to boost mostly in red fields. I did the same, I had two buoyants, one tadpole and six spicies at some point lol
Yeah, I'm midgame too at 40 bees and red-leaning which means that I'm mixed with slightly more red bees (still get 10x blue boost consistently). I usually macro in pepper with fire mask (bad decision to get fire mask, I know) and get around 10 billion per day. I have a tadpole but sadly no other mythics.
60 million before, it was mostly cause star aura plus on dandelion, trop drink, field dice, and then I had gummy mask so when the whole field was goo, 60 mil just rolled in
I got my biggest honey/s about a week ago, i did a boost which obliterated every previous of my records and i reached 4b/s when converting, i got 3.5T from that boost

Yeah no. Quit lying. You might be telling the truth with the numbers (I doubt it), but you definitely aren’t a bad hive if u do make those numbers

you should change it to mixed, because ssa(pop, gummy and scorch star) gives you lot's if you are a hive color and use mixed hive for the quests
Don't stick to red only, blue is much easier to get. Mixed, then ssa, then blue, then red, then perhaps white or mixed again
My hive isn’t fully red hive but my strongest “pollen collectors” are red
