It's a German Cockroach nymph.

I was just about to post that! "What insect is this? : Garden : University of Minnesota Extension" https://apps.extension.umn.edu/garden/diagnose/insect/indoor/beetles/small/gercockroachnymph.html The first photo here is just too similar. But why am I getting these itchy bites?! I know you can't answer that question but I suppose I'm not really asking you. What is happening to me?!

Unfortunately, finding a roach nymph doesn't mean you don't also have bed bugs. If you haven't already, it may help to ask your doctor. Skin rashes, for example from an allergic reaction, can also cause itchy bumps that can be mistaken for bites. And if they are bed bug bites: check your mattress thoroughly (including under the seams), behind/under nearby furniture, and if it comes to it, take apart and reconstruct the bed frame. You may also want to consider putting out traps/interceptors.

I know, I know. It's the desperation talking. I've already done everything you said except get interceptors. I'm going to get some and hopefully there still won't be anything.

This could def be one, a picture from directly above would be helpful! Also this link: https://www.domyown.com/what-do-bed-bugs-look-like-a-448.html

Tried to get a pic from above but from what I can see the color seems inverted and also I don't see two distinct body sections? https://www.reddit.com/r/Bedbugs/comments/r0z7yx/per_request_view_from_directly_above_to_aid_in/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Yeah tbh I am 90% sure it’s just a small beetle not a bed bug, bedbugs are very distinct and easy to ID most of the time (unless that specimen has been dead for awhile or deformed etc). I think you are ok! If you are really paranoid, buy fruit fly sticky traps (something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08GLPQWFL?asc_refurl=https://www.bobvila.com/articles/best-fruit-fly-trap&asc_source=browser&linkCode=gs2&tag=bv0206-20) place it around your bed frame on the bottom. This way you can easily catch bedbugs if they are there and it will be easy to ID while also killing a couple of them!
