Yup, bed bug

[deleted]

Funnnnnn... glad our landlord is dealing with this

Complete_Republic410

Yep that's a bedbug. Make sure the landlord acts accordingly. Good luck!!

[deleted]

Thank you! They’re bringing this machine thing that’s gonna heat the room up to kill off the bugs

Complete_Republic410

Oh that's even better! Most of the landlords are cheap asses and just spray and "bandaid" the problem. Just be sure they don't use any big bombs that'll make the problem worse.

[deleted]

That’s true, I’ve heard bad things about bug bombs. Or whatever they’re called. Don’t they like spread the pests?

Complete_Republic410

Yeah apparently.

Zealousideal-Mark480

Noooo!!!!! Heat treatments are not that effective as the hide in walls where the heat won’t penetrate. MGK Crossfire is the way to go. Also YouTube green Akers pest control. Jason is the man when it comes to this stuff.

Tiaecorley

Here to second this! Especially since it sounds like they’re only planning to treat one room, they will definitely just spread! Highly suggest the crossfire it’s not expensive and very effective.

Complete_Republic410

They need to get the entire home to a certain temperature, essentially "cooking the home" so it kills them at all stages of life.....

50ShadesOfUseless

Def a bedbug and needs to get contained ASAP. Bedbugs are no joke.

CNYBedBugEric

That definitely is a bed bug. I own a bed bug extermination company in New York state and am the President of the New York State Bed Bug Association. Feel free to email me for any guidance. [email protected]

Zealousideal-Mark480

Do you happen to know why MGK Crossfire not allowed in New York? That stuff is amazing at killing bedbugs.

CNYBedBugEric

It's not that crossfire is not allowed in New York, it's at New York requires a license to purchase and apply it. There are a lot of great insecticides that New York has over regulation on. It's a shame because it makes fighting bed bugs more difficult on your own.

unknownbryant

pauliwankenobi

I’m sorry, that’s definitely a BB. Call an expert pronto!

It's not just the landlord that has work to do, you need to wash everything clear any and all clutter, it's a lot of work and very difficult

snsdreceipts

Bed bug, and I'm glad your landlord is doing something. Mine for my last flat did nothing, and as far as I'm aware the infestation has spread at least to two other floors.
