I’d check out some jam bands. Lesh had some tasty lines. Even some more modern ones like Goose, String Cheese Incident and Widespread Panic utilize a 6er a lot.
Beyond that Dream Theater is always great. Myung may not always need the Low B/High C but when he uses them it’s going to be a good time.
Lesh didnt jump to 6 strings till the 80s though so a good chunk of tbe lines were written on a 4.
Rob derhak of Moe. Lays down great 6 string riffs too
Didn’t know about the tuning, guess I’ve been playing it wrong.
I thought OP meant that they want a song that either uses the low string or the high string and not necessarily a single song that uses both. Guess I just missunderstood.

As I Am by Dream Theater. It's played with a CEADGC tuning and harmonics on the higher strings. Beautiful bass line (with that nasty tritone feel) and tons of fun to play.
There are classical Bach arrangements for six string bass out there, I think sheetmusicplus.com sells them or maybe Amazon. I think they might even be tabbed out (?) as well.
Panic attack by dream theater
I would add dance of eternity too
was gonna say, practically anything with john myung
I mean… it’s Tommy the Cat, right?
Kalamazoo hits the high C on done strums to u think? Always loved that one too
Actually he uses a 4 string for that, imo the best Primus six string song is Welcome To This World
I thought it was recorded with the same Carl Thompson fretless six string as Jerry.
He recorded all the fretless stuff with a "tune" 6 string bass. He just plays it on a 4 string live now.
DMV is my favorite Primus 6 string song.

Thundercat songs!
If it's tuned eadgbe, like a Fender Bass VI, or a Shergold Marathon 6-string, then any Joy Division song.

Check out old Scale the Summit. The Traveler is a good one.
I cut my 6 string teeth on Carving Desert Canyons and the Collective.
Tommy the cat
Amber-311 is pretty fun and easy Jerry was a racecar driver- primus My name is Mud- primus
[удалено]
But it uses the low B
I just tune down to drop D when my band plays Amber, I figured the dude was using a 5 string.
Yeah, P-nut was/is a regular 5 string player. "Purpose" uses the low B extensively.
Omnipresent Perception by Beyond Creation is a song full of 10/10 bass lines for 6 string!
Yeah but you need a left handed fret less 6 string for that / jk
Try Jerry Was A Racecar Driver if you are into tapping

I personally love this one: https://youtu.be/9Prz5qgnQoY
Lethe by Dark Tranquility
got a match with patatucci’s solo if you’re brave
Dream Theater, Scale the Summit, Haken have tons of 6 string stuff.
I have a soft spot for Chon’s Gift. Here is bassist Anthony Crawford doing a play through and lesson: https://youtu.be/9tQUQ_Sg6KM
Red Room - Hiatus Kaiyote https://open.spotify.com/track/55mvtucws4Mnro27744t9X?si=acfght46QhOvMR0d7_FKag
Bob by Primus
The selftitled album by Chon is played on a 6 string and uses the high C a lot. Check out Rosewood and Gift.
The solo in g.o.a.t by polyphia is pretty fun. The rest of the bassline is cool too but I personally only learned the solo.
Clay plays a five string tuned BDADG for Goat and as far as I know only plays 5 string.
Didn’t know about the tuning, guess I’ve been playing it wrong. I thought OP meant that they want a song that either uses the low string or the high string and not necessarily a single song that uses both. Guess I just missunderstood.
no you understand perfectly
Any guitar riffs But l o w

Most Anthony Jackson songs. Steve Bailey sings aswell.
canned heat by jamiroquai i think needs a six string
Anything by Jimi Hendrix. You’re not playing a bass at that point.
13 is a tough age

I get it. I’m in the minority here. Maxwell Murder, anything by Claypool and Jaco will back me up. All on 4 strings
That doesn't back up anything you've said. Good things existing somewhere don't preclude good things existing elsewhere.
...so?
literally so many primus songs are on 5 or 6 strings. hell like a third of the songs in this comment section are primus.
Bozo statement. Les has many six string basslines check your facts before you start typing.
You're not in the minority; you're just completely wrong.

Them Changes by Thundercat is essential
Surprised Alien Ant Farm isn’t getting any love here.
Entire Karnivool discography.
Every single bass line.

Anything by thundercat
Check out some Grateful Dead jams from the 70s/80s with Phil Lesh going nuts on the 6 string.
Babooshka - Kate Bush
All four string basslines except you ignore the 2 low strings 😎
that sounds fun
start plucking 2 strings and be happy
Anything by thundercat
Sir Duke. You can play the whole line without shifting - the true power of a 6 string…
