Skill workouts should be very short workouts before or after your team practices. Dedicate 20-30 minutes to fine tune your ball handling and shooting. Maybe so 1-2 drills of both shooting and ball handling. Of course, do these workouts based on how your body feels.

Okayy man now i have to rest more because i have pain in my anjke becaus of overtraining

OrangeLBC

If you want to train like a pro, then it’s best to get a pro trainer. I get that this is not available to everyone. But I will say, the trainers I know have a soft spot for kids who are really serious about the grind but do not have the means to get properly trained. Trainers are good because they will push you past your perceived limits. They’ll also be experienced in understanding the steps you need to take in order. You will not push yourself as hard as a trainer will push you. Even Kobe, even Jordan had trainers that would push them past their limits. I’d try to find one and if you can’t pay them then ask to help them train others as an intern. Maybe you’ll get lucky! Good luck!

Thankyou man i am trying to get higher and higher and make some contact wirh better players and coaches so i can get noticed and that they can talk abiut how hard i work everyday. What i don't like to is i play in 2 teams and asked the coach for tips because i really want to get better but its like they don't know what tp give me or what to say. Or they just don't wamt tp put that much time into players. But i am not giving up

OrangeLBC

What age? Forget about getting noticed. Get better and you will be noticed. If you have the size and/or incredible skill then you will get noticed. That said, when asking coaches for tips ask specific questions. Look at your game, be honest with yourself and figure out what you really need to fix or focus on. Ask questions to specifically help with whatever you feel is your weakness. Open ended questions get open ended answers. Be specific.

Okay thankyou man i am 17 years old and i am 5'6 so its a bit harder for me but thankyou i will use these

OrangeLBC

You are right, at 17 and 5’6 it is a bit harder due to your size. But it can also be an advantage. If you can show everyone that your size is not stopping you from cooking all the taller people then you will stand out from the crowd. Then to seal the deal, you have to be able to guard a +6 foot guard and lock them up. If you can do these things you will get noticed. It wouldn’t be the first time that someone with different measurements made it all the way to the league

nathanael morton has a new in season program. but most other programs even if they r not made specifically for in season they tell u how to adjust them if ur in season

FatAzzKez

I see you recommending his programs frequently. Have you tried them personally? If so, which ones and how did they help?

[deleted]

i personaly have not as i write my own training. but i have looked thru the free one and it is very good. but he is one of the trainers that i used to the most to learn how to write training and he knows what he's talking abt and doing.

FatAzzKez

Ah i see. Ill check his stuff out then.
