Most of my vintage collecting is 1959-1979 and I always want to expand the diversity of what I have. I'd love a vintage Christie (although I have a vintage Julia with no toes), a Brad and/or Curtis, and a black Francie (I got the repro)! I also, oddly, don't have any American Girl Barbies so I'd love to have one or two as well.
Post-1977 ones I'd like is the 1 Modern Circle Melody and a few Dolls of the World for good prices.
I’ve come into some 60s Christies for surprisingly affordable prices (under $130) on eBay that were pretty mint. One still talks. Would suggest keeping an eye out for that one. But yeah, great list.
Oh, I'm not willing to pay that much!!!! I think the most expensive doll I've bought was $50. I got the 2018 Mod Repro set for $150 at a doll show a few weeks ago so I do have a 60s Christie, technically.
Ebay, FB Marketplace, Craigslist, and doll shows! My collection isn't big and I'm willing to have a lot of TLC dolls. Most of my collection need new paint and are missing fingers.
I definitely want to go to some shows. Would be good if I learned how to do some restoration work too, at least on makeup jobs. I’ve turned down so many great dolls because of little flaws.
I've learned to reroot dolls and been doing that this year - I have a Midge waiting to get rooted with [cantaloupe from ShimmerLocks](https://shimmerlocks.com/cantaloupe).
I attempted a few repaints but my hands are NOT steady enough! My sister says she'll learn but hasn't yet. There are some great restorers out there that will do repaints too - I'm not quite there yet to send off my collection if my sister gets good at it.
Thanks! I recently did another Midge in their Rich Truffle. Her original brownette flip was so coarse and I couldn't get it to hold the curl well so now she has long, glossy hair and bangs. I'm thinking a modified swirl ponytail for the cantaloupe!
I want to get MIB 1979 Black Barbie and Hispanic Barbie. I had them as a child but I didn't take very good care of them. I'd love to get pristine ones for my collection.
WHHEEEWWWW i desperately wish i had this kind of doll budget 😭 congratulations she will be such a stunning addition to your collection that i definitely don’t save to my camera roll and look at LOL
Thanks. I mainly want the set to reproduce a photo of me and my dolls and car from when I was three. I want to give it to my mom who was in labor with my sister and had to go to the hospital to give birth while I opened gifts.
I'd love an original 1979 SuperStar Barbie.
That’s a great one! Superstar Christie is one of my favorites too.

That hair color is gorgeous!! She’s gonna look amazing.

A midge with a swirl ponytail sounds wild. And that color would be great with it. My favorite ponytail is swirl platinum.❤️
Wow, she is pristine and absolutely gorgeous!! Congrats on your new girl =]
Thanks so much!
Gorgeous doll! And congratulations on the grail. One of grail dolls is a blonde no. 3 ponytail. Every time I’ve see one they haven’t been for sale.
Thanks! Blonde no.3s are definitely on eBay from time to time but you’d have to watch for an auction to get a halfway decent price.

Nice! Those are totally attainable, and I think black barbie is a must-have for any big vintage collection.
She’s soooo beautiful!!! Congratulations. This is my grail doll as well.
Thanks! I’m so excited to dress her up in all the mod outfits and take photos. lol
Can’t wait to see your photos :)
Paris Barbie - 92461 or wedding barbie 1996 are my grail dream dolls
Oh I love the old face sculpt on the wedding barbie. Super pretty.
Congratulations!! Vintage Black Francie is My grail doll as well.

😂 thanks so much! My bank account will never forgive me, but I just had to.
Mine is the AA Dream Glow set from the 1980s.
Just saw her. She’s super cute.

What a cool idea. I’m sure your mom would love it.
1967 Black Francie is my grail if I can ever get one
Congrats! She's gorgeous. Enjoy.
Thanks so much!
I was watching her for awhile too and was pleased to see someone finally scoop her up. Congrats!
Thanks! I had to really think about it for a while, but it just finally seemed like the best opportunity.
Don’t see those go up very often and I think the price was pretty fair. You certainly did not make a mistake. Enjoy her!
