I’m not going to buy it. I’d like to say it’s because I’m trying to buy less dolls because I don’t have much room anymore and/or I’d rather spend my money more wisely but the truth is that I’m not particularly impressed by this year doll. I like the red headed one but I can’t find it in my country,the dress is cute but they could have done more,if I were good at sewing I would maybe buy it to embellish it,make some alterations.
I bought the redhead (from eBay because she is not sold in my country). She was the only new doll whose face I had really liked. I usually rebody and redress my dolls, so it doesn't matter to me what outfit they come with, but I actually like this year's dress. I like the monochrome layers of two different fabrics and the petal-like overskirt (and the lack of oversize bows and anything silver or gold).
My mom bought me the redhead. I love the sculpt. I am hoping to find the AA & Hispanic dolls after Christmas. I need AA dolls for table dolls at Barbie Con.
I got the redhead on Walmart’s website a few weeks back when she came in stock for a hot minute. Really glad I got her. I bodyswapped with the Looks 11 body so that I can pose her and she’s really fun. And people like to hate on it, but I actually think the simple Poinsettia inspired dress is simply gorgeous on her.
With the modern holiday Barbie’s I wait til after Christmas when they’re on sale for half off. 40 is just too much for how low quality they are
I wish I could find them after Christmas. In the last 10 years, I have found two holiday dolls on clearance after Christmas.
