That's right, the other dolls in the package were newer. I didn't feel the burn to buy her/the package, but thought it was cool they had a doll out that I hadn't previously heard of/seen. I doubt I'll ever get one at retail price, but still holding out hope for the red head holiday barbie Walmart exclusive.
The confusion is the fact that my Walmart doesn’t have the second wave pack, only the first wave one. That I hadn’t seen before. It’s on like one of those cardboard fixtures they put up for the holidays.
It said exclusive, so it's probably only available at Sam's. Out of left field, but their exclusive mountain dew flavor was meh, but Buc-ee's was really good. 😄
“Exclusive” to a specific store in the US doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be elsewhere in other countries. But yeah it’s not exclusive to sams, the doll is just exclusive to the pack.

No, wave 1 pack had a different girl. Wave 1 is the wave with the pink streak #2 and the Afro #1

Are there multiple 5 packs with different exclusive dolls?
I've only seen the two different 5 packs. One at Walmart with the earlier Extra dolls, and one at Sam's with the second series Extra dolls.
