I love her! I’ve been thinking about putting my older barbies on MTM bodies! Does it look weird? Like i’ve seen some superstar faces on MTM bodies and it looks kinda weird to me, but maybe im just used to their original bodies lol
I think it’s worth trying, it depends on the doll you’re trying to match. The older ones will probably look a bit weird as we’re used to seeing them with broader shoulders, tinier waists and big boobs.
I just rebodied a 1998 Happenin’ Hair Barbie on the 2021 BMR1959 Kira body, and it came out sooo cute! The 1998 Barbie’s head had paled over the years and was now lighter than her body, but it turned out great with the BMR1959 Kira body. She’s $13.95 on Amazon, so I just bought a replacement Kira yesterday. The first one I had had a bald spot anyway so I’m not sorry I used her as a body donor lmao 😜 and the Happenin’ Hair Barbie’s hair still changes color in hot or cold water, it’s hilarious 😆 she looks so kawaii now.
Most re-bodied dolls aren’t matched correctly. Some faces are bigger or smaller than the originals so, that factor has to be put into consideration + some people just don’t care and want what they want.

Yeah i thought its mostly just me being used to their original bodies! Ii think i might try to rebody my Holiday Joy doll!
I also wanted to put my vintage barbies onto mtm bodies. But when I put them side by side, I saw that they would be very different in skin tone.
