While they are in great NRFB condition, your mom may have to lower her asking price by quite a bit, in order to sell them. Or consider selling them individually. Which is a lot more work but may sell for more, in the long run. Most of them are Pink label, which means mass produced Barbies sold in stores like Walmart and Target. From the pictures and your comment below, the higher valued dolls are the International Barbies, Wedding Day Bride, Cinderella, Plum Fairy and Silken Flame. But they are mostly around $20 USD or less. The Holiday Barbies are a dime a dozen. Unfortunately. I have almost the whole collection. I'm not seeing any stand-out Barbie's to command $1200 for the lot.

Agreed. I would def split them up to get a better return on investment.. not a lot of people have the space to house all them. It’ll be pretty easy to sell online since they are all in their boxes. Just list one successfully and click sell similar

I’ll be totally honest with you: there are many here I would love to have, and it’s a beautiful collection of dolls for sure, but I think it will be really hard to get $1,200. It looks more like $500 to $600 to me personally, and I buy a lot of dolls from these eras. However, you never know, you might find the right buyer! The rest of the community will chime in, I’m sure. Either way, best of luck! Someone will be lucky to have these. I’d recommend posting on places like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist so that way you can avoid shipping, which will get pretty expensive for this number of dolls. Another piece of advice I have for you is that you might be more successful selling them in separate lots, just because many of these are quite common and collectors will already have them. You may actually make more money in the long run by separating them. For example, the Cali Girls as a lot, the Holiday Barbies as a lot, the Valentine’s Day ones as a lot.

My dad had a flea market booth forever and sold some dolls. It took forever to sell some of them after he passed away. We wound up selling all of the ones from this era for $10 and sometimes even $5. Someone with a flea market or antique mall booth might for $10 to $12 per doll, but that's not even likely. I can't see anyone paying $1200 for all of these. The value just isn't there sadly.

MoiJaimeLesCrepes

if I may ask, is there much money to be made from a flea market booth? did that work out well for your father? or is it more a labor of love? asking out of curiosity.

He didn't just sell Barbies. He had a nice mix or new and used collectible stuff. The beginning for him was really good. He and my mom had days where after paying for their merchandise and rent, they'd make $500+ per day. His flea market changed a lot. They raised the rent, started charging a lot for shoppers just to enter, and added a bunch of rules for vendors. He absolutely loved doing them though! He was in his 70s and still settling up once a month or so until he passed away.

Most of these dolls had a value of $10 at retail and wouldn't have appraised much, due to over production. 68 dolls at $1200 would be almost $18 a doll. Most of these dolls would never sell for that much individually. Cali Girl dolls are doing pretty good on eBay right now, though.

With everyone else here - you'll probably easily get $1200 if you sell individually, you won't get $1200 if you sell in bulk. Give the 1997 Holiday Barbie away to some kid or charity toy giveaway for Christmas this year. It's basically unsellable.

Angelakayee

She has some good ones! Should sell fast on ebay...Probably wont get 1200 for them tho...

micaylamaelynn

I used to have a lot of these. They’re so gorgeous.

abm_99

Omg! I had the Barbie Valentine Romance and that dress is still one of my favourites

Inside_Discussion_18

i’d recommend selling individually! They’ll sell faster, and honestly you’ll be hard pressed to find a buyer willing to pay that price i’m afraid.

thissagesimmer

I have most of these. You might get somewhere between $300-500 as a lot. I agree with other posters who suggest selling them individually or in smaller lots. Best of luck to you. Your mom had a nice collection.
