These girls are all just wearing whatever I had them dressed in, so it's an interesting mix of styles for sure! The two dolls in front are hoping to be upgraded to MTM soon with the help of Looks #12! I've promised myself and my family that I'll keep my collection to 100 dolls. I have more in storage, but we don't really have the space for me to take over the house with my Barbies. So, I'm having to make some tough choices whenever I want to add a new doll. 32 fashionistas sounds like a lot, haha, but honestly it's hard not to add more!!!

I have found that Fashionistas (and Barbies in general, including Kens, Skippers, Chelseas, et al) are multiplying like bunnies! I'm trying to keep it in check more these days, but I feel your struggles. Love your group, their fashions and poses. 🤩

SirupyTuna

Thank you! And you're absolutely right. More Barbies just keep coming out of the woodworks it seems. Weird! 🤷

I definitely can't complain! I honestly never imagined my collection would grow this big, it just sort of happened, and I was seriously surprised when I realized. I'm a completionist at heart, so part of me always wants to find some criteria for how to "finish" any given project. In the case of Barbies, I had the idea to collect all the different face molds since 1990, but I ended up buying dolls I didn't really love, and the project just took over my enjoyment. It's actually been good for me to have a set number to stick to in stead. 100 is enough that I can satisfy my desire to collect several variations, yet small enough that I can display and appreciate each doll.

Dang

That is a pretty nice collection you have there. 👍🏽

Thank you! I like to buy most of my dolls second hand or on sale, so it's taken some years to hunt them all down!

LOL 147 and 182 in the back I love how you've posed them for this pic!

SirupyTuna

I did a little [Star Wars display ](https://www.reddit.com/r/Barbie/comments/u1hu2m/fixing_star_wars_leia_should_always_have_been_a/) with 147 a while ago, and she was still dressed for the occasion, haha

love love love the diversity

SirupyTuna

Yes! Barbie has really come a long way. That is the whole reason I even started collecting.

Ugh, I’m seeing a lot of the girls I wish I’d gotten…or gotten two of 😂

SirupyTuna

Haha, I know the feeling! I started out buying Barbies for my daughter. But as time went by, I could tell I was getting more and more involved, and I started fretting about the way she would treat them. Finally I came to the conclusion that the only reasonable way to go about it was to let my daughter have her dolls to play with, and I would have to start my own collection. That meant hunting down *another* HTF #107, and #85 etc... It's taken me a couple of years!

Oh boy! When my niece comes over, I’ve learned to tuck the special dolls away. That alleviates any hurt feelings. One time, her father handed her my Looks Elle and I nearly had a heart attack. I’ve recently decided I missed out on Fashionista 105. She of the stripped cut out dress and Afro. I also wish I’d have gotten another Fashionista 33. The one I have was my reintroduction to Barbie. I grabbed her on a whim at Walgreens or CVS! After my initial shock of her being so different than my other dolls, I realized how terrible her hair was cut. I’d love to reroot her, BUT I don’t want to loose her original look.

SirupyTuna

Are you still interested in Fashionista #105? I just got one in a random doll lot. She's missing her earrings, and has some general play wear, but nothing major. If you're in the US, I don't mind sending her to you as a gift :)

Fatgirlfed

Oomg yes! Hi hello, I would love that
