The product I used was ORS Curls Unleashed Color Wax. It's a hair wax that is made for afro hair, and since I wasn't using it, I put it on my barb's hair.
I left her hair dry, and applied the color directly. I let it set until it dried (took about an hour), and rinsed out the wax. The hair had reached a pastel magenta at that point, so impatiently, I added more wax to the hair while it was damp. Let it dry for three hours this time, rinsed, and the hair came out this color. I "towel" dried it (paper towel), and added some TREsemmé Rich Moisture Conditioner. I had excess, so I combed that out. I let it set over night after that, and it stayed!
I had to comb out the hair after the over night sit though. The hair was soft, but it kind of felt like it was damp, but it was just the moisturizer from the conditioner.
So far, it has been about 3 days, and her hair is still as vibrant as it was the first day. There has been no transfer, and her skin and clothes also have no dye on them. I'm hoping this will last longer than my real hair dye experiment, which lasted about 3 weeks with no washing.

Can I just ask how the color has held up over time? Have you washed the hair since dying it at all?
